2023 Chinese Taipei Figure Skating Championships

2024 Chinese Taipei National FS Elite Cup

*This competition was delayed until June, as the CT FS federation was hosting JWC earlier during the year.
** Although Tzu-Han Ting is listed to skate last at Sr. Women category, I think she will WD, due to the recent injury (she announced that in her IG...get well soon!)
*** The results from this competition may decide the allocation of entries to the international competitions of the new season.

The live streaming link is added above.

NB added: there will be a Gala by Competition Day 2 (Jun 3rd). And it is said that Rio Tanaka is invited to perform in the Gala this time.

Yu-Hsiang did three quads??? What?? None of them fully rotated, but all landed.
And he did all of his combos in the second half, one of which was a 4T+2T, and his last jumping pass was a 3Lz+3T. :dbana:

I really hope he considers doing a split Junior-Senior season next season instead of fully moving up to Seniors, because that kind of skating could easily end up putting him in the JGPF.

He must be pretty mad at himself for the mistake of 3Lz-3T from the SP  He did a 4T in SP as well...his 4T is pretty close now. I think his new Korean coaches and training team is doing him good.

But I'm kind of neutral about the comment of doing a split Jr.-Sr. season. I think Yu-Hisang is really aiming for Milano, so perhaps two seasons in Sr level will be reasonable. The problem with a split season in between is that the skater may have to keep two sets of layouts, which is not necessary always advantageous...

On the other hand, Chinese Taipei is really lacking a lineup for men's skaters (Jr. and younger) after Yu-Hisang...

This is so exciting! He, Yu-Feng, and Anna/Tzu-Han are really putting Taiwanese skating on the map. I'm really hopeful that all of them can get stronger and shine even more on the international stage in the upcoming seasons!
