A really photogenic bird with that striking colouring! I'd never heard the name, so I Googled it and I see it is only in the southern hemisphere and doesn't migrate up north, so unknown here in Canada. I've learned a new bird :).

It's from South Cone mountain zones (Argentina, Chile) in winter it can be seen easily and it's habitat is from South Capricorn tropic (Atacama even Atacama desert) to Antarctica.
