Rewatch will be found here for Seniors

I'll be here for the full week ! Can't wait !!!
I'd love to be there for everything too, but I have tickets for another thing on Friday and I don't want to cancel this...so only Saturday and Sunday for me. I'm really sad to miss Pairs but hope to see my faves at the Gala :D

Do we have a complete list of the qualified Juniors somewhere? I know it was posted, but I can't find it anymore.

Edit: Nevermind. Found the info in the JGP Wuxi threads.

Senior skaters/teams qualified so far:
- Wakaba Higuchi
- Kaori Sakamoto
- Ilia Malinin
- Lopareva/Brissaud
- Chock/Bates
- Miura/Kihara (I think? It should have been enough for them)

I am looking for a GP table results, I think there used to be one where all results were in one place and the progression of points earned for the GP Final. I cannot find it for this season. Help!

Now I only need to find out if there are things we are not allowed to bring to the rink (except for the very obvious stuff like weapons, not that I have one - but I'll probably need a big additional bag for extra clothes/blanket/food etc.), and if I'm allowed to take photos. I sadly couldn't find any information on the event site. Maybe I'll have to contact them and dig up my school French 😅😅
@Idiote where are you going to sit? Thinking about which category to buy...

No idea what's allowed in Grenoble versus Angers, but we managed to bring a backpack with sweaters and food/drink without issues last weekend. If you do end up contacting the venue I'd love to know their exact policy !

I'll be in section N all week ! :)

I'll definitely let you know :)

N is judges' side, if I see it correctly on the venue map? I think I'll try to get that too.

Yep that's right ! In Angers I always pick the opposite side from the judges and I was curious to see a different perspective for the final ^^

I was on the judges' side in Oberstdorf too and found that the skaters perform to this side a bit more, so for photography it's better to sit there :D

I think we are on the judges' side, can't remember the section letter, but it might also be N - we decided it was worth a bit extra, if we're going all the way there. Only going the one day, we want to combine it with touristy things.

I just use Wikipedia for results and standings.

... dig up my school French 😅😅

I am giving Duolingo French a hammering! I'm not very good, but can usually get what I need without resorting to English.

If you have a car and like the mountains, the Vercors is a beautiful region to visit !
It's far from Grenoble (unless you take the train) but Lyon is a must-see as well, great city :)

We won't have a car, but are flying into Lyon, and spending a day there before heading to Grenoble by train. Just a long weekend, flying out on Thursday and back on Monday.

Awesome that you get to spend some time in Lyon ! I highly recommend the Museum of Miniature and Cinema, in Vieux Lyon, it's an amazing visit with extant props and sets from movies and beautiful miniatures. Vieux Lyon itself is also gorgeous to visit.

There is also the Lumière museum set in the brothers Lumière' actual house :)

My boyfriend and me will arrive on Saturday, he'll throw me out of the car at the rink and then he's off to do his own thing :D But he'll join me for the gala on Sunday at least.

Fortunately, my partner really likes figure skating - we both like dance, and he was an ice hockey player in his childhood and teens, so he appreciates both the performance / choreography, and the competitive element and skill of complex movement on skates.

He just came in and checked our tix - section N.

It might be that our tourism is mostly wandering around getting a feel for the place - we always pound the pavement a lot!
