I interpreted the original Debra hint totally incorrectly and didn't find it helpful at all. I thought that there were two skaters who fit your criteria, one with a sister named Debra and one without.Congratulations![]()

Wow, I had no idea about his great-great-grandfather! I think the Debra clue (with the last name) would have been helpful to me if I had seen it in time.Keegan Messing. The thing when giving clue is that they still need to be helpful while not giving the answers right away. I cannot predict how people will read them so sometimes, it is best to leave them a bit more cryptic... Otherwise, it becomes too easyI interpreted the original Debra hint totally incorrectly and didn't find it helpful at all. I almost made a sarcastic post a la @Mathman's earlier remark about not winning Canadian Nationals; it doesn't really narrow the field all that much if you just eliminate people who have a sister named Debra!

NopeI am thinking gloves ?
Tissue holder, lol? Pooh and the like....I will try one:
Many skaters use to wear me,
since some Japanese made famous the trend.
I'm not just something you can see,
I'm useful, too, offering a hidden help to my friends.
Who am I?

Earphones? Or earbuds? It could be, but it's not what I thought.. but I can say it's something more tiny....
That's what I have been just thinking about, too. Necklaces or "stones", to be more general. . But although "some Japanese" is pretty famous for wearing them, I cannot see it as an awfully big trend among skaters. Or am I wrong and just did not pay due attention?Necklaces?

The author, please?
So, you're very, very near to get the whole answer.i know whatt you are saying but don''t know the name lol.First of all, yes, you mentioned the necklace, and you're near because it's a particular kind of necklace that I thought...So, you're very, very near to get the whole answer.
Secondly, well, it's not a "big trend" this "special necklace"'s one, just a trend made famous by one or two Japaneses in recent years.
The Japaneses I'm referring to are among the greatest skaters today...
The one that looks like a short strap around the neck with a single stone/ornament, often magnetic? Both Yuzuru and Shoma had one like this, though Yuzu wore his all the time since he was a kid, while Shoma on and off, more occasionally, I think. And, yes, I think Yuma has one, too. So if it just about Japanese skaters, it does look like a trendFirst of all, yes, you mentioned the necklace, and you're near because it's a particular kind of necklace that I thought...So, you're very, very near to get the whole answer.

I recently found some review from Ilia and Shoma about that. One note: the original one worn by Yuzuru is not by Colantotte but by Phiten. Yuzu bought it when he was 9 or smth similar, I think, really young, at Phiten's booth at some baseball match he attended with his dad. He's been wearing it basically all the time since. And as he was becoming more and more famous, Japanese journalists started to ask him about skating with necklaces and bracelets, why, how it came around etc., so it became a topic, and a part of his image. Only then Phiten contacted him offering an overall endorsement and sponsoring contract which they hold to this day.You definetely got the answer!! It's the Colantotte magnetic and medical device necklaceI recently found some review from Ilia and Shoma about that.
Also Sota Yamamoto uses this necklace I believe, for sure the Selevko brothers, Egadze, Shaidorov and some other uses this, too. Also some Russians.

Still, I remember Shoma surely wore such a necklace earlier, years ago, though he also had a contract with them for years, it seems. As for others, I just don't know. Still, whatever, a really nice one, thanks!yup... that's the one i was referring too... so many of them love these... i find them.. mehYou definetely got the answer!!
