The name I am mostly called when people want to be tender
Is not my full name, could belong to either gender.
I chased and won quite a few shiny things
Two of which, of the same colour, I used to call twins.
For anime and manga lovers I’m a fellow fan
But the country to find me is not Japan.

Yuzuru has been staying in Japan since 2020 and after turning pro in 2022 he has made it into the only place where you can see him live so Japan is exactly the place where people would go looking for him by now. So, no. I added the line specifically to give a clue it was not him.

Yes Russian have many diminutives for both genders, like Vanya for Ivan and Ivana, Sasha for Aleksander and Aleksandra, and so on with many other examples! But not only Russians, also the slavic descendants, mostly from Russian tongue derivations.
