Big year of growth for Novice Louis Mallane*, very unfortunate timing for this year's Nationals but he may have adapted by next year. He has nice musicality and jumps up nice and straight and tight. I'm going to keep an eye on this guy. He has raw talent and seems to be taking his changing physique in stride.

Ethan Yan* skates to The Man in the Iron Mask and is slow and tentative on his opening jumps with mixed results. He pays attention to his music but overall his skating skills are still very novice, but he is a strong young guy.

Evan Neuhaus* in yellow shirt and black pants skates to Summer Recomposed” by Max Richter. He has quick rotation and tight positions in the air, but is still learning how his knees can help him with speed, power and on landings. Pleasant basic classical program that he skates at a nice pace.

Thomas Chen skates to "Romance,” “Time Forward” by Georgy Svirdov; choreo by Molly Oberstar, Jamie Isley in all black. Nice posture and use of spirals. Not a lot of difficult content, but a clean style. He seems to respond to the faster tempo part of the music which was once(?) the theme song for Russian news. Curious choice.

Isaac Fulton skates in black to “Welcome to the Black Parade” by Freya Catherine and Jack Victor; choreo by Jackie Nguyen. He has a big presentation and boldly enters his jumps with good spring, not a lot of speed, controlled rotation nor flow on the landings. Strong guy but developing technical skills.

Sergei Evseev skates to Tsar Saltan” by Rimsky-Korsakov; choreo by Nadezda Kanaeva in navy blue shirt and black pants. He is the guy with ginger hair. He has a lovely classical style and fast, clean jumping technique. He reels off a series of very quickly rotated triple jumps. This music is an excellent choice for him. I am a new fan. 152.43

Jared Sedlis - I liked him in the SP. He skates in white shirt blending into black to match his pants. He skates to “Intro,” “Wonder” by Shawn Mendes; choreo by Adam Blake, Alex Johnson. Nice musical awareness, straight clean lines and stretch. Not the difficulty of Sergei, but very pleasing. He skates happy. 159.05
