I'd add that to make matters worse, yesterday's broadcasts didn't really promote or explain today's schedule, which made it even worse.
I'll post about this in the men's short program after the free dance is over.
and just so it doesn't come across that I'm pushing people to post while I've not done anything, I've already left a negative comment about the scheduling there.

This is going to be super painful for me. I can't sit this long and today is going to be brutal. If they do this next year I may miss parts.

Thanks I knew it was some elected representative. I mean there's an "extraordinary talent" specifically for this situation is there not? They went on to win Olympic medals, I can't imagine how much more extraordinary talent they could want.

I think this the schedule for the rest of today. Times are US Central Time Zone. I had to create a small document so I could keep all the Nats time straight. Maybe time for that Prevegen. LOL

My enjoyment of this team is going to predicated entirely on music and program choices. This FD was beautiful, but I thought they looked ridiculous in the RD to Brick House.
That gave serious fish-out-of-water vibes, like when Kolyada did a Chaplin program.

This was a gorgeous skate, but I fear Emily and Ian put themselves into a really difficult position with that rhythm dance. I love their skating, and they have some of the best basics of any US ice dance team, but they were just ever so slightly hesitant again today - I would have loved for them to come out today as aggressive and dynamic as they are in practice. This was still an incredible skate, and they are going to go shooting into the lead, but I fear it won't quite be enough. The split schedule means that the teams in the final warm-up group are going to get the biggest score push, which means the Browns are sitting real pretty right now to upset Emily and Ian with a two-point advantage and being in that final warmup group. I feel so bad for them, because this was their chance to really make a push for an Olympic spot, but I do think they are a team of the future, especially as Emily continues to improve as a skater.
