Messy on the jumps especially toward the end, but he didn't give up. Very entertaining; that's how you do jazz.
With Chan still in first overall I wouldn't be surprised to see Yannick stay on the podium.

Chan skates with the best skating skills of the whole men's field. I'm sure he beat everyone's PCS. Remember that Sawyer's program got 3.5 lower than Evan's lackluster performance, so Chan with some reputation (and skating with the Canadian audience behind him) will surely do better than Evan's PCS, and of course better than everyone else's. Besides the touch down on the first 3A, the crash on the second 3A, and the missed 3Z, Chan's jumps were great, and all his footwork sequences and spins should get high levels and GOE's, so that's probably how he made up the difference.

It's not like Chan was even close to winning the LP. He had a big advantage from the SP.

I wouldn't say way overmarked...he had wonderful speed, flow, transitions, expression, and his footwork was fabulous. Obviously not his best but I still quite enjoyed it

Ugh, Ryan was wuzrobbed. Patrick ahead of him with a fall, hand down and other errors besides. Hideous overscoring.

I didn't think home field advantage would provide that much of an advantage.

I beg to disagree. He has excellent skating skills and wonderful choreography, and his performance was expressive and moving.

Ponsero falls to 4th place. Evan eeks out a bronze medal. Patrick doesn't look thrilled with himself despite the win. Poor Shawn, best LP of the day, but down in 5th. Skate a better SP next time!
