The audience will boo the judges out of the building if that still holds the lead after such a poor skate. Not only were there so many technical mistakes, but they were skating at a snail’s pace at the end of the program.

How many spots are there 5 at China? And right now we are assuming 3 go to NK, China, and Russia?

There are likely to be 3 spots available for pairs at Beijing (there would only be more if a country has qualified a spot but has no skaters eligible for the Olympics). One is likely to go to Russia and another to the Chinese pair who are moving up from juniors. The third will have a lot of pairs chasing it.

Thanks for that. My guess would have been Snow White and the Huntsman, or something like that derived from Georgian folklore. I’ve always wondered, because they aren’t giving us many clues.

No. She is confused. They cannot qualify more spots tonight than they have pairs in this free programme. However, they are now allowed to send a pair to the qualifying event in Beijing to fight for a third spot there. With a lower combined placement, they would not have been eligible to sent anyone to Beijing.

What kind of nonsense is that why doesn't +13 not qualify for 3 teams in Milan? They do for Worlds why are their different rules for the Olympics and has it always been this way?
