I'm confused. It does say " fans and Media votes" why do you think they're lying?

Have they ever released the voting figures through a reputable source? I agree people vote, but I do not believe for one minute the collected votes are used, the awards go to the people they want to promote and favour.

Call me cynical if you want, but looking at the lists this year I see no reason to change my mind.

will this be held in a broom cupboard off ice at an ari zarkarian "art" on ice event where all the women skate as either angels or prostitutes and the men all stick on leather jackets and skate to some terrible european rock music like the the scorpions whilst a south african woman who no-one has ever heard of makes us all ask "why are you here" whilst a passive-aggressive canadian like Kurt Browning has a hat with an extremely patronising "be nice" or some such rubbish written on it, despite the whole thing being a dumpster fire, like last year?

I thought my eyes were deceiving me. Same finalists for "most entertaining program" as for "best costume"? That may show that the popular vote really does count, since I can't imagine any organization deciding that THAT is a good idea.

You underestimate the ISU and their 'good ideas'.

So the ISU has followed up their "good idea" of having the same nominees in two categories by giving most of the awards to the same person. Can they be renamed the "Illia Malinin" US skating awards?

Geez, they even renamed MVP to Skater of the Year to be able to give him the award multiple times, each year since now till the end of times....

That really is the most significant aspect lol. They should just call it the Ari Zakarian awards.

I can't see how this is a good use of time, money, or efforts. Can they call this thing off and just stick with paper awards results tabulated with the actual popular vote and release those online on the ISU site? Plus the award itself looks sharp, like it could seriously hurt someone and we don't need injuries before the next Olympics.
