Thank you very much! I'm totally lost with the WTT qualification system....My rough math says USA, Japan, Italy, France, Canada and Georgia. South Korea would be next, but is well behind Georgia in points.
If they do have more senior skaters they kept them well hidden during the season and they can not bring juniors "their age must be within the limits specified in ISU Rule 108, paragraph 3", means only senior eligible skaters allowed at WTT.Does Georgia have more skaters than Nika and Nastya ? I guess they need to bring juniors ?
Sure, if they meet the senior eligibility requirements, but neither of the Georgia juniors is senior age eligible. Konstantin is born 2007 but in December, so will be senior eligible only next season, Inga is 2009 baby.Well, there is some overlap with junior and senior ages, so maybe some juniors at the upper range of junior eligibility?
Thank you. I didn't know that.Sure, if they meet the senior eligibility requirements, but neither of the Georgia juniors is senior age eligible. Konstantin is born 2007 but in December, so will be senior eligible only next season, Inga is 2009 baby.
ISU will either have to tweak their own rules, or Georgia will likely have to send an incomplete team. Also South Korea, who is next in line, would be unable to send complete team as they have no pair team.
I find it strange that points gained at Junior Worlds and Junior GP can be included by the best two skaters in each singles discipline, and yet skaters who are only age-eligible for juniors cannot actually be sent to the competition. Inga in particular will have contributed a fair bit towards Georgia's total score, given her high placement at Junior Worlds. If they do have more senior skaters they kept them well hidden during the season and they can not bring juniors "their age must be within the limits specified in ISU Rule 108, paragraph 3", means only senior eligible skaters allowed at WTT.
I think it’s because there is overlap in ages where some Jr can skate SrI find it strange that points gained at Junior Worlds and Junior GP can be included by the best two skaters in each singles discipline, and yet skaters who are only age-eligible for juniors cannot actually be sent to the competition. Indeed, qualifying a team at WTT is a consequence of that effort for OG, but not a goal for them.clearly georgia is not building a WTT team but an OG team.
WTT is pretty much a fluff event made for Japanese skating and fans....
But very lucrative for the skaters.clearly georgia is not building a WTT team but an OG team.

yes... and that's the only reason I still watch...But very lucrative for the skaters.
Japan would send 3 men and 3 women and clean up—even though they also have the World champions in pairs, of course.yes... and that's the only reason I still watch...that and well.. skating
but i am not into cheerleading and competing when the rules are made for one team in particular lol

what would be fun would be this : 6 entries from 4 disciplines... in this case, Canada could opt to sent 2 dance teams, 2 pairs, 1 man and 1 woman... wouldn't that be fun ??? USA could decide to send 3 women, 1 man, 1 pairs, 1 dance team..etc
nope... I said, 6 entries across 4 disciplines, meaning 1 entry per discipline and then you do whatever you want with the other two.Japan would send 3 men and 3 women and clean up—even though they also have the World champions in pairs, of course.
But a neat idea, I like it
and sending multiple athletes in one discipline means that unless they win all 3 top spots, they would lose a lot of points...
It would be very fun. Maybe make it one per discipline plus 2 extra in any discipline(s) you choose.yes... and that's the only reason I still watch...that and well.. skating
