2025 JGP Ankara Women's Short Program

A wonderful skate by Haruna. Lovely axel to start; spread eagle into loop, and then twizzles out into the camel spin. Lots of distance on the 3S. Buttery‑smooth step sequence, really liked the Ina Bauer where she leaned forward, and the knee slide out of the second one. Another level 4 step sequence!

the sound of silence is such a nice idea 🙉
What I don't understand is why they all have to give us the sound of silence at the top of their lungs (the Australian who performed a song of the same name in the Eurovison belted it out, and then there is Disturbed....)

They also create french-german-italian-whatever sounding names of countries that I can't even imagne how to pronounce and I can pronounce words in quite many european languages even if I don't know what they mean :D
Again, I am absolutely appalled by the lack of research across the genre of Ro-Fan (Romance Fantasy, which Underneath the Oak Tree is a part of) and it is one of the reasons (aside from me being an obssessive nerd) why I do rigorous research and if a change is needed I do my absolute best to make it stand out less when I'm writing my own stories (not Ro-Fan but sometimes in a Western setting)

I really liked that opening move from Louise, I like when a skater seems into their choreo. Shame about the spin mistake. A bit hesitant but makes complete sense when you realize the lack of ice time for majority of junior skaters. Good job! I still enjoyed it.
