Am I afraid of long skirts/dresses for skating? Yes. Do I also love how they look and move? Yes.

I love this program and I love this team. Great season's debut.

I neither like nor dislike this team. As for the Lion King - they could've played the Man with the Iron Mask music because the program would've looked the same. There is very little unique or creative ideas here. I feel like Wolf/Tsar are improving and have a chance to pass them this season. They skate safe and cannot shake the cute kids look. I know I am going to make someone sad and I am sorry because they truly seem like very nice people and hard workers.

Based on past seasons I would have to agree. They have been solidly middle of the pack at US Nationals for years and unfortunately I've never seen much potential to move up. I remember being intrigued by a classical program of theirs a couple seasons ago that they ended up jettisoning after a couple of events, and there was the choreographed "stumble and fall" moment but other than that I struggle to remember them from season to season. Good for them that they're still going and scoring well, but it feels like they've hit their ceiling.

there is an art to working with that skirt. It is very easy to get tangled around one's legs. I used to love the OD & CD Tangos with the long skirts. Each one was unique and special and the teams worked so hard to navigate their partnering with those skirts and use them to full advantage. I miss that in dance.

levels... their TES is very low...which can sometimes happen when a team skates really fast. They don't hit their turns... but what do i know ? and I haven't seen it lol

They won PCS by two points so I guess they do like it but it must be some tech issue as TES dropped a lot (long wait for the score is usually bad omen for TES)

Drama I feel some deja vu though, wasn't there another season where Pate/Bye unexpectedly won an early season Challenger?

M & M won the RD, lost on the technical mark somewhere to both US teams and were 3rd. They were better on PCS. Wolf/Tsar was 3rd in the RD and 2nd in the FD due to the technical mark. P & B won the FD by about 5 points on the technical mark. Igor still knows how to get them points.

Yes I believe so but I can't recall which one.

Mrazkovi choreo sequence got exclamation mark which was quite costly and they also lost some levels on multiple elements, so many points were left on the table.

So much for my dance score...
My top two were switched and I overestimated the Hungarians and under estimated Wolf/Tsar. Got the French in the top 5 right but missed the Italians in the top 5.
