Thanks for the page! They are a promising pair.
Am I right that since it's been two years since Russians competed internationally, any of them can change countries and immediately start competing? No need for the typical two-year wait for release?

Based on my following of Russian skaters, it's not just timing. They have to be released by the Russian fed, which they may grant the release or choose not to even if 2 years has passed since Russians competed internationally.

A clean short program from Geynish/Chigirev at 4CC yesterday. Their amazing lift looks so scary but goes well with the style of the program.
I was kinda surprised at the low score, but it is their first year competing for a small fed, so I hope judges will take a liking to them.

does anyone know why they have withdrawn from everything, someone said they split, but i have not seen anything in any russian outlets confirming this

on another forum I read from a reliable source that he has "retired" from the sport, at least for the moment, while she is trying out with a new partner or has a new partner, but he's not from Uzbekistan. either way, it is likely their Olympic spot will return to the pool for another pair to use.

Dmitrii has been announced as a full-time coach of a Russian skating club today.
Chigirev for Russian media:

— I am not training at the moment, I am focusing on my health. It so happened that I was injured all last season and it got even worse in the summer.

— Have you split with Ekaterina Geynish?

— Yes, we don't skate together anymore.
