Regarding Anderson and Dawson chances for JGPF....
Here are the results so far :
There are 3 teams with a win and 15 points still waiting for a second JGP
Two of them are skating in Poland and normally, should take 1-2. This is where scores matter because if the Canadians (V/B) win and Ukrainians are second, the Ukrainians would also have 26 points... and scores would be the tie breaker between Anderson and Dawson and them. Considering that Thailand was a low scoring event... It may be that these two teams both pass our Canadians who would now be in 4th place after Poland. In Poland, there is also the Belgian team of
Sofiia BEZNOSIKOVA / Max LELEU who may have something to say about JGPF. They are only starting their quest next JGP.
Then Azerbaijan is a relatively easier event. The French, Ambre and Samuel who had a fluke double fall in their first event but managed to get a silver will certainly win. I would think that Summer and Nick would place 2nd.
The French would then have 28 points and also pass Charlie and Cayden who would now be 5th.
Finally, Abu Dhabi should see
Hana Maria ABOIAN / Daniil VESELUKHIN on top of the podium. Our Canadians would be 6th.
The question mark will be the following will
Dania MOUADEN / Theo BIGOT be 2nd and beat our Canadians on the scoring tie breaker ?
It's quite likely. Or will the Belgian take the second place and eliminate the French ? And if they did, (I doubt it) it may mean that both the Belgian and French team at Abu Dhabi would end with a silver and a bronze... so that would mean JGPF for 2 Canadian teams.
Where it all went wrong for Anderson and Dawson = When Ambre and Samuel lost their event. It gave Robertson Rohner a gold medal and 26 points but moreover, the edge over all winners of two silvers.
Conclusion : there is a much higher chance that Canada will have 3 pairs teams in JGPF than 2 dance teams.
