2025 Nebelhorn Trophy: General Info and Pregame Chat

I don't think so, he posted on Ko-fi yesterday what his competition schedule looks like and he also talked about losing points because he's not going to Nebelhorn.
 
Those of you who are already in Oberstdorf, can you recommend some good restaurants and supermarkets downtown? I already know about the rink restaurant and Trettach Stüble. Anything else? Is there actually a supermarket chain in walkable distance from the rink/downtown? Those are my faves as they tend to have the same, affordable prices no matter where they're located.
I don't think I want to do a lot of walking there because the weather report doesn't look too good, for Wednesday and Thursday at least. I hope to save some money by buying at least some lunches at the supermarket.

For pizza try ristoranre Alberto they have all pizza 9.90 Euro at lunchtime.
Weather should be fine tomorrow
 
@surimi I'm not in Oberstdorf but I was there for Christmas last year. It is one of my favorite places in the world.

The closest grocery store to the Ice Arena is the Norma Filiale north on Hermann von Barth Straße on the corner of Enzenpergerweg. Just across Enzenpergerweg from Norma is Ehrat's Backhaus, a lovely bakery with nice people serving there. Ehrat's has sandwiches in addition to a lot of pastries. I went there for scrambled eggs for breakfast and highly recommend it. Ehrat's also has nice coffees. As I recall, prices at Ehrat's were very reasonable.

Further away is the Netto City grocery store on Pfarrstraße just north of Oststraße.

Another restaurant where I had a couple of nice meals is the Shanzen Stüble which is close to the arena. It is in back of the arena (to the east) on Schützenstraße. You get there by walking east on the street just north of the arena, Roßbichstraße, uphill to the second street, Schützenstraße, and then turn right for about 100 meters—the Stüble is on the left.

In town I can recommend Bistro Relax and the Dampfbierbrauerei. Close to the rink is the Cafe-Retaurant Bergblick.

Not me, I'm leaving tomorrow, and my place is a total mess right now as I'm packing... Hopefully it won't be raining when we arrive 🤞

NoName should be an easy one to recognize, but since I have a terrible memory for faces : if someone has met me before and happens to recognize me as I pass them while staring blankly, it is definitely not intentional. I'll be happy to say hi and chat if you prod me by saying your GS usename.

If someone wants company at the rink send me a message we can meet. Practice tomorrow is 2.50 euro if you show the qr code you will get at your hotel
