2025 Nebelhorn Trophy: General Info and Pregame Chat

Entries have been updated...
Men:
- the Rols brothers (FRA) are out
Women:
- Flora Marie Schaller (AUT) is out
Pairs:
- Ellie and Danny are out (as we already knew), so are Liv and Luke (who replaced Ellie and Danny, which was never reflected in this list)...currently only two pairs from the USA listed, we will see if they will assign the third spot they originally had to another team
Dance:
- no changes so far but I can't imagine Paolino/Tuba competing here. They are at Lombardia this weekend, then the qualifier, then NHT....

Hello, lovely fellow Nebelhorn-goers who have experience with Deutsche Bahn, I have a train transport question. To my delight, there are direct Munich-Oberstdorf trains this year. But when I clicked Kombiangebots, they all say 'No ticket retrieval as PDF or via app / Your ticket cannot be used as a PDF or in the app. / Contact us by e-mail at [email protected] with your order number.' Does that mean it's pointless to print out my tickets when they arrive as they wouldn't be accepted by the readers? I always have the ticket both in my email and in printed form, just in case my phone stops working. Advice welcome!

Deutsche Bahn is really embarrasing for Germany. I think it means their system is not able to provide you a PDF download or in APP ticket so they probably need to send you one via mail. You should contact them immediately because Deutsche Bahn works slowmo. There is also a hotline +49 30 2970
I am German. If you need more help send me a direct message. I am planing to be in Oberstdorf, too but we have some last minute family emergency that might keep us from going :-(

AHHH Sorry. I just tried to book a ticket from Munich to Oberstdorf on their website. The Kombiangebot offer is a dayticket for Allgäu area. You can use all busses and trains for one day with that ticket. And the area includes Oberstdorf. Since the Train to Oberstdorf is RE (Regional Express) it's included. But make sure you take a RE Train and not an IC. And these Allgäu Tickets cannot be bought via Deutsche Bahn website. You can buy them at a Deutsche Bahn store at Munich or at Ticketmachine
The Allgäu Ticket is way cheaper than the normal tickets. You should get that one.
Maybe this will work online? https://www.bahn.de/angebot/regio/bayern/regio-ticket-allgaeu-schwaben

And In Oberstorf you will have to pay a small tourist fee at your hotel / B&B. For this fee you will get a QR code that you can use for the bus within the city. This QR code gives you also discount on some other stuff. Usually with the discount it's only 2,50 Euro entry for the Ice-center to watch practice. I don't know how if that will work during the Nebelhorn Trophy week.... We will see.

Thank you for all the advice! :thank: I have now bought my ticket successfully. Turns out the tickets could actually be dowloaded as PDF once I paid, plus I've got the order confirmation in my inbox now. So that should be covered.

I've bought All Event competition tickets, which should also work for practices. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and I hope your emergency turns out alright and you're able to make it to Nebelhorn, @Kiki5375 !

I'm hoping the weather is going to be favorable (this early, noone really knows for sure) as I'm looking forward to lots of walking to and from the rink, and to the Saturday farmers market, if there is still one!

Yes there is a farmers market. Bus is free with that QR code you will get at the hotel. Some hotels even add fee rides with the kablecars onto the mountains. And there is practice on wednesday already.

I asked DEU about entry to practices, they said on Wednesday it's the regular entry fee, so that doesn't seem to be included in the all-event ticket.

True, I forgot about Wednesday practices. But since Wednesday is my arrival day, I'll see you all on Thursday :)
My hotel doesn't include Bergbahn Unlimited, sadly. But great to know that buses within Oberstdorf are free for hotel guests.

Some ice dance withdrawals...
Katerina Mrazkova/Daniel Mrazek CZE
Leia Dozzi/Pietro Papetti ITA
Guilia Isabella Paolino/Andrea Tuba ITA (expected that one)

...and an additional entry in women:
Iida Karhunen FIN

Here is a link for the weather forecast. It's quite reliable for 3 days. The forecast for "how much rain" will change. I hope for less.

In Munich is Oktoberfest. In the evening trains can be full.

My recollections says: Last year the tickets were a lot cheaper then this year.

I also hope for not a lot of rain. I mean I'll be at the rink every day, but my boyfriend won't 😅
