It's a sideways flag on either side of the door. But for Canada and Cyprus, they have re-orientated the charge in the middle so that the maple leaf and the island are the right way up.

Also, shout out to the excellent female commentator who clearly loves the sport of figure skating. She is so knowledgeable of the athletes and I learned a lot of interesting facts about each of the skaters competing here

She deserves to commentate at more events

@norwegianfairytale Also, to me, Mia was wonderful and was robbed with PCS. To me, she gave the best free skate of this competition and I would have given her a higher score. She should have scored higher and I will add Mia to my list of skaters who I will root for, in the future. It seems like the judges were too hesitant to give out high PCS scores until the latter stages, and that shouldn’t happen. But, at least she made it to the podium

Right. I just went back to finish off the SP to see Kristina getting her scores, and after the competition was over, Katia Kurakova came out onto the ice with a microphone and talked to the audience for a long time!

There were too many echoes, so I have no idea what language she was speaking. I assume it was Polish, but it might have been English.

I thought that was lovely of her!

And the audience loved it!

Suffice to say, she had to gather up a lot of cuddly toys afterwards!
