Ahhhh RikaShin was going really well until that botched rotational lift Glad they still managed to salvage something out of it.

I like the new costume for Rika, but I wish she had a more San-like dress, I think it can really elevate the mood of the program. She should ask Ayano for costume help

I was very impressed too, and the judges agreed as well! Shingo got level 2 and Rika got level 3

That last lift was a struggle and I thought they were going to abort, but overall their elements have improved since Sectionals. I’m definitely not convinced of them as a team or even as Rika as an ice dancer but they’re years behind on that front. I’ll follow them anyway.

I thought they were surprising good technically for how long they have been together. Although, a stricter panel probably wouldn't have liked some of the turns. Artistically, partnering I'm not yet convinced but they are so new. So, it's pretty impressive.

Koshiro's footwork during the rotational lift scared me a bit, but glad there was no disaster Ikura did a minor trip during transition too, but overall very good. Silver should be safely theirs

Koshiro wasted so many years struggling with injury and inconsistency in Singles when he could've been doing Ice Dance the entire time

But I guess the timing was right to be paired with Ikura

They look great together as has already been stated. But, both of them and particularly her turns are still very very single skater like even more so than Rika's. Partnering and lifts also need work. They are more convincing performers though...
