2026 Canadian Nationals : Senior Rhythm Dance

Well that was some nationals inflation, lol. I kinda love it.
I really like the end of this program. The beginning still feels a little cautious, to me. I wanted to see a little more freedom from Piper and Paul. That's me being really picky though. I think this was the best this program has looked.

The rhythm dances are just really a blah for me this season.

I don't like either both costume that Paul use for this program. Piper costume is fabulous. But common they could bring a better costume for Paul for this program.
I'm the opposite. I love Paul's costume, not as sold on Piper's. I get where Piper's comes from and it's very appropriate, just not my favourite. I LOVE her free dance dress, though. Best in the world this season, IMO.

Am I correct that it seemed like they might have either gotten close to the boards or even contacted them briefly? They definitely seem to slow down a little bit... actually on several more occasions they have been incredibly close to the boards. I mean, this definitely demonstrates that they fill the entire ice surface which is great, and set some up well for Olympic size ice
Is the rink in Milan wider?

I just wonder with the IIHF moving to a smaller standard rink size (same width as NHL, and three feet shorter length), it seems like the days are numbered for the old wider international rinks.

Old ones will grandfather in, they’ll slowly get replaced and new ones will be built to the smaller specs

I am still standing :) There was always national inflation in ice dance in Canada. Always. Like everywhere in the world :)
Piper and Paul got level 4s everywhere. Take that Shawn Restatt
I'm just having a little fun at the expense of the pearl-clutchers over the past few days. For the record, I enjoyed Piper and Paul's skate.

And I agree that every Nationals has a little inflation spice thrown in for the fans. No harm, I suppose, so long as the spice is evenly distributed across all the athletes at the event.
