I think it's more everyone wanting to pump up their teams and Canada coming after the USA. I figured Piper and Paul would get a national record here before going to the Olympics.

G/P made a lot of changes in the 2nd half. 137.94 and into 1st for 231.05 total. So well deserved!

All the changes they made make it fresh and really improved it, IMO. I hope the international judges will see that, too, and it won't just be all about politics.

I wish there was a chance of that. Given the skating there should be, but I fear the political machine is not in their favour. They should be fighting for gold, but I'm just hoping for the podium.

Interesting that neither Piper and Paul nor Marjorie and Zach maxed out. Piper and Paul got level 3s on their serpentine step, and Marjorie and Zach got level threes on their one foot step.

I sense tears welling and great emotion in Piper and Paul as they skate toward their last Canadian Nationals podium. What inspirational champions they have been all these years!

LaLa Love it. Whew. That was magical.

Piper and Paul were so light and airy and it was a privilege to watch.
I hope Romain and Marie-Jade are selected for OG. That program deserves to be seen worldwide. It's just so unique and well done

Piper and Paul were amazing, the chemistry work this time compare to the GPF. I truly hope that they win the bronze at the Olympic. They deserve it !

Just watched Piper and Paul’s FD a 2nd time. That was so beautiful! All of the choreographic changes really interpret the storytelling in greater detail. Their amazing speed and ice coverage at this championship is really impressive! They should be challenging for Olympic gold! They really need to focus on attaining the highest levels they can achieve with the highest quality of execution. Bravo, Piper and Paul!! ❤

Errrrrrrr, no. It definitely does NOT always translate internationally, or we would have even more outrageous home cooking all pver the place. I am glad for them, but there is a reason why nationals scores do not count as official anywhere else.
