Wesley seems to have matured a lot in his skating. Before his injury, he still seemed quite juniorish. He still needs more time to come back fully.

I just spent 4 days with extended family whose daughter was learning one of his pieces, which was essentially 10 pages of variations on the four measures with the exact same chord progression repeated incessantly. I wanted to burn it after 2 days

Nice artistic performance from Chiu, I'm not familiar at all with him but I liked his skating

The jumps were off though. I think he will finish behind Roman in the end .... and he does... but he is actually behind Rakic too, which seems too low to me

I hate it too... I am not sure why skaters use his music ad nauseam... all his pieces are the same four bars repeated for ten pages.

Good - got the flip axel.

Not carrying a ton of speed and flow at all - nowhere near as good as his short program. But I have a feeling that now that Skate Canada judges have pretty much had their decision made easy, they are going to shower him with high PCS scores to give him a boost going into the Olympics not sure he deserves it because although this is a great program, the first half was pretty scratchy
