Chris, her name is Iida, with an I at the beginning. It is not Lida. I know a capital I looks like a lowercase l, but you have done commentary on her several times before, her name on the score box is I. Karhunen, and they use a different I on the ISU scoring page that clearly shows it to be a capital I. Poor Iida always has people mispronounce her name

Lida Karhunen needed a very good skate to beat Sauter as she only has 1.2 point lead after the SP over the Romanian and she about did that I guess. One triple flip landing looked double footed to me but maybe my impression was wrong, let's hope I am gonna see it on the replay and one lutz edge was !.

Big music, but she more than pulled it off!

It's nice to see somebody skating to different music from "Swan Lake" to what we are used to.

I wouldn't be fussed on the dress, but it fits with the theme of the programme.

She goes into 2nd position in the FS, and the lead overall.

She doesn't seem terribly happy with the scores.

She was bit tense, it was not as relaxed performance as it could have been. But very clinical, great job all around

Ha, ha, he's making me think of my 4 year old nephew. Obviously, in preschool they teach the kids the capital I with the lines on the top and the bottom. He pointed to a capital I written without them and told me it was a lowercase L. I tried to explain it to him, and he literally didn't believe me, kept insisting it was an L.
