The women are hard. I keep changing my mind on top 5.
I would like to add amber, isabelle , Nina petrokina , mone and jia .
I keep thinking of reasons to switch one should be added or deleted.
Some is based on how skated at world or this year.
Others is last year,missteps .

That's not entirely true, I'm definitely not in an English speaking country and here it's unlucky toowrong, friday 13th is unlucky only in english speaking countries, for us it's friday 17th. anyway i don't confirm or deny any allegation

For 17, it's because in Roman numbers it's written XVII, an anagram of VIXI, that is Latin for "I have lived". The perfect tense implies that I have lived and I don't anymore, therefore "I'm dead". So it's an unlucky number.
I confirm than in Italy the number 13 is mostly considered unlucky while sitting at a table for a meal, and it comes from the Last Supper.
Peacock cannot itself block you from viewing other channels via a VPN. It would need the other channels to do the blocking. Peacock can only block people from viewing its own coverage via VPN - much like the BBC does with its iPlayer.Apparently they are cracking down on VPNs for the OlympicsI feel stressed out and miserable whenever I think about it. Stressed and miserable is actually how I feel a lot these days as an American, but skating was my refuge. I was hoping to avoid Peacock but it is better than nothing. Have they said how long replays will be on Peacock? I'm scared that I won't have time to watch everything.

Skate picks are already out for the Olympics… it becoming too real I’m scared!! I think dance may be the most unpredictable event this time around

I had a hard time doing mine. I tried three kinds of jinxing. I put a team with a medal people don't think they will get, I didn't include at all my favourite pairs...and I put Canada way low in the team event. So one positive jinx, one reverse jinx and a ghost jinx. Let's see if it works.

Here are answers to some of your questions. Peacock tiles labeled "venue feed" will be the world feed and if you click on the tile it says world feed and no commentary. I think these "venue feed" tiles will not have commentary.
Unfortunately the figure skating videos will only be up for 1 day after the live stream ends. I was really hoping that the event videos would be up for at least 2 days....

Ah yes, I did not mean that Peacock was doing the blocking. But my very reliable VPN suddenly stopped working while I was watching 4 Continents replays. I tried every country without success and I'm trying not to panic.
I apologize if my reactions sound naive. The more I read, the more I learn that watching Olympics with replays isn't easy and many countries are worse off than mine in this regard. This really is "my first rodeo" as I became a skating fan around the time of the last Olympics and back then I barely knew what I was doing. This is my first time experiencing the full Olympic cycle!
Out of curiosity, which company's VPN are you using?

Just throwing this out there....I have heard a rumor that Peacock has a way to find out if your device is in the US, VPN or no. Dont know if that is true.....Financially, why would they care? If someone is in Bhutan and wants to watch and purchases peacock, what is wrong with that? The 24 hour leave it up rule is aweful....People have lives, doc apts, etc....48 hours is much more reasonalble. If I was out of country, I would look very hard at Japanese TV.....live and on demand for 2 weeks.....
Tomorrow, Sunday, I am going to record the 4 Conts J and T show on NBC rabbit ears....its on 9 am to 11 am in my market. Then, Tomorrow evening, I am going to break out my J and T Voodoo dolls and I have some very long pins if they badmouth my skaters....

A few good news : this is no longer Beijing Covid Era with only a few airports allowed to transit and athletes having to arrive strictly within some schedules etc. So, if some athletes were stranded leaving from some regions in the USA, I suspect they could fly to another more welcoming American city and then fly to Italy that way. Also, since there are less restrictions, it's quite possible that some athletes will fly earlier to have training camps in Europe (perhaps not so much in Milan but nearby and perhaps not so much in figure skating but in other sports). So short answer, I am absolutely not worried
I am sure most skaters are smart enough to know how the US airline system doesnt work anymore and leave pleanty of wiggle room. In the last century, if a plane broke, the airlines would just stick you on another plane on any carrier and get you to a city you could get home from. Those days are gone. Many planes are full or over booked. Welcome to the age of computers. And ground stops. And work slowdowns. And government slowdown/shutdowns. Only a computer can make sure a working plane with a crew certified to fly it and pax all arrive in the same place at the same time.....one weather event and a few cancelations brings the whole house of cards tumbling down. I saw in the WSJ in Australia the average ATC person works 36 hours a week....American ATC people are actually moving there ...they are sick of 60 hour forced work weeks. Only in America would a govt run an ATC system 3800 controllers short.
I am sure OUR US athletes can get there....I just hope they can get home.

I use Japanese TV alot during the season so that is my backup.....NBC broadcast is only doing final groups.
