So sorry to hear that. It must be such a disappointment to them. Lia and Trentt are worthy replacements this season.
At what point can Kelly Ann and Loucas come in to replace in the individual event (if Deanna must withdraw) or is it already too late for that?

They have until the short program draw for substituting.

She had a new partner this season, Hudson Lewis...wonder what happened there, they never announced a split. She recently posted videos of her and Tristan Taylor doing pairs elements...but I definitely don't think he will be her new partner

Deanna and Max really aren't having much luck this season. If she isn't fit to compete, though, I would much rather they WD. I don't want to see her competing injured and then getting stretchered off the ice...

I had not put Max and Deanna in my prediction game not to jinx them .... But maybe that move was a bad presentment. I'm devastated.

I feel guilty too.

I watched the Deanna documentary with a friend of mine. There was a section in the documentary where she mentions that after a disappointing event, that she came back to practice and does even more and more run throughs, than in the past. But, that for some strange reason, the results from practice were not translating to competition.

I’m not a perfectionist, but, I’ve been around perfectionists and sometimes when they want something too much, they end up burning themselves out. After Nationals, I told my friend that Deanna losing her Canadian title, is a terrible result for someone like Deanna because this probably means her and Max are going to over train now and that I hope this doesn’t lead to an injury.

Almost like I forecasted this into existence for just thinking this. She strikes me as someone who wants to be perfect at Olympics and now she may not even compete.

I suspect she doesn't have Canadian citizenship and thus only has a Russian passport. Estonia closed its borders to Russians a while ago and probably isn't issuing visas to Russians either.

I wanted her to be chosen over Victoria after Nationals. But, then switched my mind after her recent competition. With Victoria I felt like she had a 20% chance to be top ten at JWC. With Megan, the likelihood is less than 1%. She can’t make any mistakes.

In 2022, he began to deal with stress fractures in his lower lumbar spine. He missed a lot of training and withdrew from several competitions, including the 2024 Canadian Championships, a Grand Prix assignment in the fall of 2024, and the 2025 Canadian Championships. Even when he was able to compete, it was clear he was in pain as he popped planned quad jumps into doubles and triples into singles.
