2026 Junior Worlds Championships | Pairs' Short Program

What is the maximum age for male Pairs skaters in Juniors these days? Because Linus is 21.

Could he be aging out of Juniors soon? And hence becoming age eligible for our friend in Canada?

23 is the limit, so one or two more seasons dependent on his DoB

Given how new a partnership they are, that was really good for Laura GAUCH / Linus MAGER (CHE).

Looking forward to seeing how they progress as they get more experienced with each other.

No, pretty sure the age limit for junior pairs has been increased to 23 now.

There was a discussion that the Olympic silver medalist Metelkina/Berulava is still eligible to skate this Junior Worlds...... thank god they dont

I was so sad when Noah split with his previous partner (don't get attached to junior teams, guys) but this looks to be a promising partnership with Anita, especially considering she's never done pairs before, they already have a 3Tw and great basics. I worry the SBS jump elements might give them trouble but otherwise they look really exciting! Noah has such great ice coverage and footwork in the lifts.

My goodness! I didn't realise it was that high! I thought it was 21, and that they would be having to turn Senior next season.

His birthday is 8th July, so he should have two more seasons.

Well, in this case, at least it will help them to gain more experience on the Junior GP circuit.

Nice, yet youthful costumes...

Big audience in the arena. I think I have just about enough fingers to count them all.

It must be so demoralising for the skaters to be performing for so few people.

That said, those that are there made their presence known when the skaters came out on to the ice.

They may not be many, but at least they are enthusiastic.

That is I think usual for the juniors, and even more for pairs...

Woahhh back to back clean skate to open Pairs short program!? In Juniors?? Wow, I hope whatever sage was used on the ice will last until the last pair (and the last boy) :cheer2:

Also interesting that in these first 2 pairs both women are older than the men - I like to see this, it proves that pair girls don't always need to be younger and smaller :yes1:

Really enjoyed that from Anita & Noah!! Noah has a lot of charisma

I can relate to this. In recent years, there have been two Junior partnerships that I have adopted split without warning. One of them before I even got their Fan Fest posted! :drama:

Yes, best not to get attached.

started strong, but too many imperfections, i'm afraid they're not going to make it to the free, anyway the level so far is nice

Oh drat! I didn't even notice that there was a cut-off. So unfair in Juniors. Especially when there is only 18 to start with.

But I agree, this group has been pretty good!
