What's the story with Trusova?
Jumping multiple quads and 3A in training/shows. Not much else known. Seems far more serious than her previous comeback in which she basically just gambled for 4Lz. She has a Benoit program.

I'm still confused if Dzepka is going to be skating in seniors or not. I can't imagine she won't be senior this season.

I am so pleased to see Orekhovskaya make the team. I was rooting for her all last season. Also surprised with Dzepka remaining in juniors, since she is so incredibly strong.

how did prineva end up on the senior reserve when she's not even old enough to compete as a senior?????

I hope to see her in seniors if she can't go international.
But it brings a question. One question to rule them all. Suppose the ISU congress that starts today lifts the ban on Russian juniors. I that case I presume they won't return with full quotas preserved from 2022, but I would expect they would only get one entry fro two JGP stages per category. Whom should Russia send in such case? Kostyleva? Dzepka? Bazylyuk? Pleskacheva?

It's 5 pm in Tenerife now. Presuming that they don't work overtime, we should know the outcome of that discussion any minute now. If it's not Dzepka, it's the least injured of that list by the time of the first stage. Unless Kostyleva is injured, it should be her following the 'sport's principle' RusFed invokes whenever it's convenient to them. Presumably, substitutes will be allowed under JGP rules.

Then again, Council also meets after the Congress is concluded, so why expect anything today... How stupid of me. ISU has never moved fast except that one time in 2022.

Bazyluk? Why would they ever send her?

Good question. This makes absolutely no sense.

Because she as junior made it to 245 points. And I'm pretty sure she'll get her form back one day.
well, sure, but based on last season's results, no reason to pick her over lena/dzepka/lidia/streltsova (although, streltsova is too inconsistent and prone to crumbling under pressure, so I certainly wouldn't rely on her for something like worlds).
lena is the most consistent and has the strongest tech content, plus is the current junior rusnats champion, so barring an injury, there's no reason to not send her

If they wanted to be really strategic about it, they should send Sofia and Lidiia to a JGP each, the other girls to Junior Bs and decide on who goes to Jr Worlds after Jr Nationals.

In the best case, Sofia and Lidia would score very highly, be in the top 24 on the Season's best list and put themselves in a good position for next year's GP as they'll be Senior eligible internationally then.
