I came downstairs and opened Universal Sports just as Alissa's 2axel replayed. Poor girl... Well at least this is the one time I'm NOT going to complain about overscoring.

Wow, I'm shocked by Alissa's marks! I was expecting a 49, but a 53 was truly a gift. No one can claim the judging panel is anti-American, that's for sure. 2 falls and even her usually strong spins lacked their trademark crispness. Plus, the mood she gives off . . . a sheer look of terror. The good news is the experience is done for her for now. Hope she can rebound in the LP . . . she's going to need to desperately.

I was thinking that Cantu was going to qualify after Alissa's program...to high a score in my opinion, so the spins and spiral should have done the difference. I'll check those protocols.

Edit: and now Cantu has made it to the FS.

Are you serious? Alissa (amazingly) scores 53.28 in the SP, Rachael hasn't even gone yet and this is just the SP, and we've already "lost our 3 spots"?

The fight isn't even 1/4th over. Obviously you don't have the stomach to fight an uphill battle. It was always going to be that, and it's not over yet.

Irina Movochan outfit bothered me. I do not think that what she just wore was appropriate for competion. For an exhibition, totally! It would be cute then. For a competition there are standards that people just don't seem to understand.
