Free Dance, Sunday, Nov. 15, 4:30 pm EST

N/B may not be the most technically capable team, but they are so soo lovely.
Liked this program more here than at TEB.

N&B-

Much better than last outing and they get a standing O !

Twizzles OK. They use a serpentine step-I like it. There's a clever lift where she ends up upside down, and a hydrobladish thing with Brent being the one leaning on Kim rather than the other way around that they use to lead into the dance spin.

Renee Roca worked on the program. Tara says.

Zaretskis, Schindler's List, all in funereal black

This was smoother and less heavy than CoC, but there isn't much exciting in it, and the story line is of necessity, sad. Their twizzles were quite good. One of the lifts had a kind of labored entrance. Boy Zar seems not as good a skater as girl Zar in the last F/w sequence, I thought.

Capellini & Lanotte.
Requiem for a Dream/Addiction.

Love their spin at the end with Anna leaned out at an angle.

Some tiny uncertainties in that Klimova/Air type lift that later Anna is head down, feet up.

Shoot. Zars ahead of C/L in the FD, but not overall.

K&N up
Cheerleader and drum major to sell Russian Soul rather than band candy.

anyone getting a High School Musical costumes gone bad vibe right now lol her skirt screams 80s cheerleader.

His costume is some 3 sizes too big.

I'm trying, but I can't get myself to even feel blah about this program, I really don't like it (and I have a thing for tasteless russian teams)

One thing I will say about K/N is they execute those lifts with major panache. Given that much of the power derives from her uber-flexibility, but if he weren't stable, they wouldn't be as daring (and it's good, because other times his stability isn't quite so strong). I don't like this program because everything about it is too much (the costumes, the sound design, "Bend KHOKLO BEND!!!" etc) but that first lift was quite good.

B/A will break 100, but by how much?

Are the red floppy pants to obscure his legline?

This has more to do with the music than the last performance of this, though. Heck, they are FAST.

FD 81.78 man were they dumped

168.25

3rd place behind C&L Level 2's on 3 of the lifts.
