Poor Leonova... Even as the current world silver medallist, she's being sacked by us fans

I want her to beat Ashley and win SA but from what we saw at Japan Open she doesn't look ready to win. If she wins that would be a super beginning to season for her as the world silver medallist.

Hopefully these choices are good, although the Jaws music playing in the background suggests either they aren't or I left the TV on.....  :slink:

Yeah - I feel like people will always count her out, but I wouldn't be surprised if she won another world medal at some point. Morozov is an awful choreographer, but he knows how to get his skaters to land their jumps.

I think people are saying Leonova was beaten by Wagner in the Free skate at worlds and lost to Sotnikova at RUssian nationals so she may come third to both of them. If it's Leonova, Wagner, Sotnikova or Sotnikova, Leonova, wagner instead of the the virtually unanimous Wagner, Stonikova, Leonova it has some merit. Though of course everyone predicting Leonova lower than she ends up in results is not new. She's been on "borrowed time" for 2 years now! LOL.

I'm predicting Ashley over Alena because Ashley looks SO READY this season. Ashley did just score 15 more points than Alena in the JO long program. I don't think it's selling Leonova short to say she'll come second to a credible Wagner.

I can see that as a reason for Wagner over leonova but sotnikova too by most? She just lost to Osmond. The only thing that comes to mind on that is the Russian nationals result.

Leonova is usually very messy (even more than Leonova IMO) regardless in her LP. Her programs often feature shaky landings, step-outs/turnouts, and the occasional wobbly spin. Even in her clean Worlds performance, everything was still very forced and tight. In my opinion, Sotnikova is miles better in every aspect except possibly selling the program.

because Leonova is a late season bloomer, she usually starts her season not good
though I will put her on silver, Sotnikova getting bronze I think will be big already,
I love Adelina but atm she is a non factor to me.

Kemp/King have W/D from the event. So if you have K/K as one of your picks, you might want to change them!

Also, I noticed some of you have Dube/Wolfe in your picks. They W/D a while ago -- so again change your picks. Here's the entry list from ISU (ignore K/K, obviously).

ETA: It would help if I had the link: http://www.isuresults.com/events/cat00027929.htm
