MEN (This field is weak..nobody here can make the GPF, and everyone can drop out)
1. Amodio
2. Abbott
3. Song
4. Joubert
5. Mura
6. Verner

Amodio can make the Final if he wins, we can't count him out.

I've always liked Amodio for some reason, but I would not think it was right if Amodio makes the Final just because he won this event, where he does not have very stiff competition, over Daisuke or Yuzuru who may finish second or third in a much deeper field.

this is what bothers me of the grand prix assignments, there should be a rule on equal distribution of top skaters and not all of them be pitted with each other at the same events, some get lucky with a weak filed like the men's TEB

With all the WDs and new skaters getting assignments between the time of the announcement and the actual GPs, it is difficult to ensure that the events will be equally difficult; the one thing the ISU does do is stipulate a certain number of seeded skater per event. But still, a strong field is no guarantee of a strong event. In theory that should be one medalist from Worlds and one 4-6 finisher, though this year, NHK took the two Japanese medalists and TEB the two French 4-6 skaters. But that's not really different from SA, where you had the bronze medalist and the 6th-place skater as the seeded entries. The thing with the TEB field is that it's full of inconsistent skaters, not bad ones. Bottom line, if Florent wins this weekend, good for him and I see no reason to cheapen the achievement. It's not like CoC and even CoR were that well-skated (leaving aside Chan in Russia, and even he didn't have an amazing event).

Considering Song suffered a concussion recently, I would be hesitant to forecast a strong performance from him. I just hope he'll be okay. Brian Joubert also missed a fair bit of training time because he was ill.
