Wow, it looks like the fight's on for bronze! The gap between 3rd and 6th is just a touch above the gap between V/T and S/S. We'll see where M-T/M ends up!

Not if they skate a great program. As I said I would be more than fine with them winning with a good skate. But an S/S win would REALLY put those claims to rest.

Yeah, I meant MORE THAN 4 points (post edited)....still it's not a huge lead when you consider that a SBS 3T is 4.1 points. If V/T mess up on their jumps, who knows.

You should also take into consideration that V/T are going to get and additional cushion of about 6 pts in LP PCS as long as they don't completely implode. So that's about 11 points that SS would need to make up in TES. Given V/Ts generous GOEs, they could basically afford to drop all SBS from their programme and still be ahead.

I haven't seen the program yet, so can't speak to the scores. I'm hardly a V/T hater either.

But so were Savchenko/Szolkowy. Who have better basics. And the quality of most of their elements, save for the twist and possibly the throw, were superior.

Take the 3toes for example. Shorter entry, with preceding transitions, executed much closer together.

There is no way V/T were 4.50 points better.

Agree. Hardly any prep or telegraphing or long set ups. The disparity in PCS between V/T and S/S esp. in the Transition/Linking footwork score puzzles me.

M-T/M just dont have big enough twist and throws or strong enough elements (other than their excellent lifts) compared to the other top teams. I think that is what hurts them.

Interesting score for Duhamel/Radford with two visible mistakes. They are suprised too.

D/R and MT/M are almost equal
but I'd have MT/M ahead in PCS

I'm not sure if V/T really have a fall cushion over a clean S/S. The Olympics are watched by people who don't exactly know much about the judging system. They see people fall and then win? I'm not sure that will be well received. I'm just happy that everyone did their best! I'm very excited for tomorrow.
