2014 Worlds - Short Dance

...And somehow work it so that that "ding ding ding ding ding dingedingeding" music played super loud in the arena at that exact moment!

LOL I went to my share of Act Up protests. A good protest should be theatrical.

They were not punished in PCS. They got a new personal best there.

They were. Their PE was 0.3-0.5 points lower than other components. And how do you know how much they would scored if their SD was clean?

lol forget ice skaters, he's straight up one of the best looking people i've seen

he should take care of that hair though, it's starting to look very fabio and not in a good way

You are right re his being one of the best looking PEOPLE ever. How tall is he?

His hair is looking a little too shellacked- is that what you mean? Or do you think it is getting too long? If shellacked, I think he needs to take a little *less* care of it. :)

And the highest base value.
And the did the Finnstep correctly.

However, they did not get the PCS scores of the others.

I&K got 0 for the twizzles, and they are in third. And that wasn't the only flaw in that program.

At this rate, US may get to keep 3 spots though.

Yes.
And with clean FD they will be 3rd at least.

Hmmm, I was too busy observing his other fine attributes to notice details of his hair. Thanks hyperinflation, yet another good reason to watch the British Eurosport SD broadcast later:agree:

Whoever said I/K had a personal best in PCS is wrong. They were slightly higher at the Olympics. But only slightly. :)

One judge gave I/K a 9.75 for Performance. Guessing it'd've been a 10 then without the twizzle error. :)

C/B were the only team to hit all their levels.

Oh poor I/K, they got a 0.3 deduction in P/E. :rolleye:

How do you know that they would have 9.19 PE with clean skate? I sure don't.
And that's the fact: they are punished. If you think it's not enough, well...

I/K's twizzles did not score a single point. Zero. 0.

So if they had done it properly, it would be an additional 7-8 points in TES alone. Add to that a few points PCS they lost because of that error, and their score would be close to 75. So close to what they did in Sochi.

Before that twizzle happened, every single element was exquisite.

What points did they lose in PCS? They got a 9.21 in skating skills despite bumping into each other! To me, if you can't avoid a collision on the ice your skills should not be getting top marks. Their performance/execution was given an 8.89 despite a glaring and disruptive mistake.

oh you're right. I'm getting old. :P

Anyone know who where judges today? I mean their nationality :)

look matt k, i don't know how many times people have to say it to you or if someone literally has to beat you over the head with a hockey stick for you to process it because i gladly volunteer, but TES and PCS are irrevocably entwined in each other. if you mess up technically (or if in nikita katsalapov's case, if you straight up HINDENBURG it technically), then your PCS should suffer. their PCS did not suffer.

i don't know how much more sesame street i can make it for you

I very rarely have uhm, for the sake of this being a g-rated forum, let's call them "crushes" on athletes, but I did for Ingo Stauer and I definitely do for Mr Poje. Swoooooooooooooooooon (catch me Andrew! catch me!).
