I like this kind of costumes which look more masculine and classy.
Anyway, I can't wait to see his new costumes (+new programs and music choices)
Agree masculine is great http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aXNHx8l_D...QLQ/s1600/richard+dornbush+sherlock+holmes.jp

No, no , no , I don't like such classy costumes

I think as cruzceleste mentioned, it should be something that Lysacek had. I think this type of costumes fits Yuzu very well

Am I the only one who doesn't want him to go masculine/suit type? I feel like it would look....awkward on him  I really like his style just...not the exact choices he going with. He looks really good in the feminine type costumes because it highlights his body type. I want him to stick with those just without all the frills and bright pink :sarcasm:

no you are not ;)

but I also guess that the costume should fit the program, shouldn't it? the pants and fancy shirt look they went with for PW fit the program. but (IMHO) that would so not have worked for R&J.

I like his style *shrugs* suits him and his type (but as I mentioned, I'm kinda weird that way  I'm also the kind of person who's into the questionable style of glamrock bands... so, there you have it. that's probably why I'm also not opposed to all the bling and frills and what not)

know what, this is actually not half bad

I agree, and maybe in a few years he will gravitate to a more 'mature' style naturally. But I absolutely did love him in those shiny black pants and simple t-shirt for the "Hello I Love You" exhibition...probably too casual for a competition, but if he could do something sleek in that vein I think it would be very nice.

that's a good point...Japan has all of those ultra-glam "visual rock" bands like Malice Mizer and Versailles, I wonder if Yuzu is influenced by that style.

It's funny that the debate about costumes was more intense than the one with music recommendations.
Anyway, it's kinda late here so I'll go to sleep. Good night everyone:)

Maria Victoria;907360 Plushenko's reaction to Yuzuru's Team Competition SP at the beginning of this video: [url said:

PS: Yuzuru scored higher than his idol in their first and only competition together.

I've seen the video before and I'm still dying. As much as I love Plushy being a fanboy of Yuzu's incredible skating, his smile was just so creepy haha.

I like that he's feminine too. Well, it could just be a personal preference (my boyfriend actually looks sort of like Yuzu if he was a couple of inches taller with more weight haha) but his femininity was what I found so appealing, especially when it comes to his costumes since he as such a beautifully slim figure with the longest legs I've ever seen on a guy. Every time he stands next to other male skaters, he just stands out. And I think him embracing that whether it be intentionally or unintentionally, is good.

Though I do think it is intentional since he incorporates feminine aspects into his skating (quite proudly, I might say), and Johnny Weir cited that Yuzu has a lot of say in his costumes. I'm not sure the boobskirt was his idea but the gemstone colors on the costume were.

When I saw the Yuzuru's FS costume for the first time I thought of http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5dMVWjlUPso/TxmDBFAfFyI/AAAAAAAAAcI/ceQ1WBWDeWw/s1600/Johnny.jpg

I'm actually quite fond of his notre dame de paris costume since he looked exquisite in it, the white semitransparent fabric for the sleeves(and NO gems), I think, was an excellent choice.
I like his style, it just needs to become more delicate and elegant, imho.

I love this man. It worked perfectly for him.

I agree! I actually like that costume as well. I totally prefer that one than his R&J. I wouldn't have mind the R&J one if there was never that random opening at his shoulder and arm :scowl:

Question~

What's one major improvement you would like to see from Yuzuru next season? Better lines and posture? Deeper edges? More consistency in his 4S? A new quad? Or just better music + costumes?

I personally would like to see a further improvement on his basic's. Lines, edges and stamina. Easier said than done of course, but he's already improved heaps with Tracy so I hope she can keep working with him on those.

I'm having such a hard time keeping up with this forum though. First off everyone was talking about his costumes and next season programs, then about Orser, Plushy and Tarasova, and finally back to his costumes
