2014 Lombardia Trophy

I hope MCM can add a quad ASAP... Don't worry, I love Yuzu and I totally agree with you ;)

Frankly I think Yuzuru should drop the Biellmann spin already. There are many different way to get level 4 without that Spin. It hurts the back as well.

Martinez beilman spin is very good so no tomatoes from me.
The only good beilman spin I've seen from Yuzu lately was the one at TEB EX last year.

I was afraid of Yuzu fans shooting my comment down, haha. I looooove Yuzu with all my heart (TJ ftw!) but that doesn't mean he's the best in ~*~everything~*~. I also think Yuzu needs to give the Biellmann spin up because it doesn't really do much for him. He can't hold the teardrop position for a long period of time and he just... perennially looks in pain/in an uncomfortable position while doing it.

Michael on the other hand, needs to really stop being so flaily on the ice. He has the raw talent but his skating is really rough around the edges.

I enjoyed Grant and Ricky's skates (despite the fall from the later); I liked Adian's SP better than when I watched his test skate, but his music. Ugh. Why can't you just use the original??

MCM's SP was definitely not ready, but his music cuts were absolutely atrocious. Biellmann was good though.

Pauline WANNER (France) won Advance Novice Girls.
As for protocols, interesting girl.

How old is she? Any info about her?
She's 12 (will turn 13 next month).
She skates in Colmar (in Alsace, close to the border with Germany and not really far from Switzerland).
Her coaches are Stéphanie and Xavier Dias.
At national level, she has always been the champion of her category.
She used to beat Marina Popov and Julie Froetscher who are currently competing in junior.
That was until last season when she had health problems and had to stay 5 months off the ice.
She ended 3rd and lost her novice title to Popov.
This eason, she is including the 3lo as a new jump in her competitive programs.
And indeed the french federation is keeping a very interested eye on her progression.

I liked the US representatives' programs too! Not really expecting much from them this early though so all is good :)

Also disliked MCM's music cuts haha. (Or I'm just too attached to Mao's Rach 2.)

For someone who dislike Rach, that music cuts are double atrocity. Don't tell me it's Morozov choreography.

In contrast, I actually love Rach. Which is probably why it felt like it was a disservice. I don't follow MCM closely but it appears his POTO FS is the one choreographed by Morozov, not this SP. (I thought he was keeping his R&J SP, was surprised he skated to Rach 2).

^^ I do not like his music cuts either, seems to be out of place and does not jive well with the choreography. I think what Morozov choreographed for MCM was his POTO...

Thank you very much for info!

I found two youtube channels that are uploading videos of the comp.

This one had one program up before the scores were announced

The second is not as fast it looks but has a massive collection.

plus for anyone who missed any and comes looking.
