1995 Skate Canada International, Men's Long Program - Michael Shmerkin of Israel had a fine skate here despite having to endure the news that the Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin, had been assassinated. He would place 3rd in the Long Program and ended moving up from 3rd to 2nd Place overall.
