Girls starting now.

But, I will be leaving to eat at the end of this group.

I think I'll pause it then and play catch-up. But, whatever happens, I will be going LIVE at the end of the second resurfacing. Because my kid is at the end of Group 4, and I want to see her LIVE.

CaroLiza_fan

Daniela SMORODINA (EST) wearing a beautiful black dress with silver pattern.

She was skating to "Lose Control" by Teddy Swims. And I would like to see more programmes to this song.

The first third of the programme was iffy enough. Including a fall. But the final two thirds of the programme were good.

Very little reaction from her at all when getting her scores. And then up and left straight away.

Ah, I forgot Advanced Novice encompassed the whole of the Novice age range. We've got a very young girl going at #2.

She was wearing a black jumpsuit with gold pattern.

Don't know the music, but I didn't like it. Not my taste at all.

She did a cartwheel! 🤸‍♀️

Finished VERY late. She didn't even start her final element until a few seconds after the music ended. So, she'll definitely be getting a time deduction.

But, she was good.

She goes into the lead.

CaroLiza_fan

First of the international skaters. From Belgium. (There is another Belgian skater later on).

She is wearing a very sleeveless top that is totally covered in jewels, with a black skirt.

I'm impressed. She was good!

Awww. When she was coming off the ice, we saw the next skater go past her. And the next girl is about double her height!

New leader.

I was expecting that she would be.

CaroLiza_fan

I wasn't exagerrating - Ksenia NAUMOVA (EST) is very tall. She was towering over her coach at the boards.

She is wearing a black dress and black tights.

Skating to "You've Got The Love". Not sure whose version, though.

She was good.

Don't know who that is sitting with her, but she is definitely a relative.

I think the Estonian flag will be going back to the top of the table.

Yep, new leader.

CaroLiza_fan

Another little girl skating at #5. This time wearing a red dress.

Don't know the music, but I liked it! Reminds me of Muse, but I don't think it's them.

A mixed bag. She had a fall and a popped jump. But everything else was lovely.

Oh no. She looks very disappointed waiting for her scores.

She goes into the lead.

I knew the good things were good! But she is focussing on the bad things.

CaroLiza_fan

Tatiana PEDRAZZOLI (ITA) is another tall girl who is towering over her coach.

Beautiful dress that starts as white at the top, and works it's way through darkening shades of blue until it is black at the end. Well, apart from white trim.

Beautiful piano music too. And, most importantly, beautiful skating.

I looked up her previous results to see where she is in the Italian Advanced Novice standings, and she was only 13th out of 15 at Nationals last season.

Well, I was impressed with her today.

She goes into 4th position.

CaroLiza_fan

Final skater of Group 1, Karina SHESTERIKOVA (EST), was wearing a black dress with silver and blue pattern. And a blue bit of material hanging from her waist.

She was skating to classical music. And it is annoying me, because the style of the music sounds very familiar. But I can't think who the composer could be.

She was good.

New leader

Right, time for a resurfacing at the rink, and for food here!

CaroLiza_fan

OK, so I took rather longer eating than I anticipated. And I remembered that I have something to watch before it expires tonight. So, I will pop in now to watch Nekrassova's daughter and then Mia's sister, and then leave again.

CaroLiza_fan

Sofia NEKRASSOVA (EST) was wearing an extremely pale blue dress. And skating to "Ave Maria"

She was good. Although, I wouldn't have expected any less.

There was one point I thought she was going to lose her balance. But she didn't.

Mother and daughter wave to camera.

They both look pretty stoney faced. But, then again, Jekaterina always does.

She goes into 2nd position.

Is Ella Celine RISA-GOMEZ (NOR) a Maurizio Zandron fan?

Yep, you guessed it. She's skating to "Alice".

Another very pale blue dress. But with a wide black area around her waist. And a white shield around her shoulders. (That's the best way I can think of to describe it!)

First jump was beautiful.

But she struggled to land both parts of the combination jump she did next.

That was just a blip. Everything else was beautiful.

I am really impressed! Mia's sister is very promising, @norwegianfairytale !

She goes into 5th position.

Right, see you again for Group 4.

She is, and she hasn´t competed many years. Only since 2021. I´m so impressed with how calmed and poised she seems in K&C for her age. I could catch up some of the words between her and the coach, and she is very polite and when the coached asked about what she thought about the scores she said "it´s the best scored I have got so far" like they were talking about the weather and her coach then blurted out in excitement "is that true??" and Ella just laughed shy and said "yes".

Surely, I checked up her score. She got a new PB at Northern Lights Trophy with 32.22 and now she got 32.24.

Mia has always been very polite and understanding of her scores. They must have been been brought up well.

@CaroLiza_fan - You should also watch up for Linnea Henriksen skating in the next group. She has promising skating skills. If some of the Novice girls would get a JGP spot next season, I would put my money on Linnea and/or Ella. Linnea is coached by the Austrian Team Eisenbauer-Reitmayer, Peter and Lara.

Congratulations Ella!!! :cheer:  :points:

Yeah, I agree. They do give the impression of being really nice girls.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I'm planning on watching the whole of Group 4.

Saw Oliviia when she was going onto the ice.

Early on in the Warm-Up, we saw her do a beautiful jump in the background.

Most of the times she was in shot after that she wasn't doing anything. Although there was one point where she was coming towards the camera at speed, and I did jump back!

Also saw her doing a lovely spin.

And then we saw her leaving the ice.

Now she has a long wait until she does her programme.

CaroLiza_fan

Michael Jackson medley for the next of the Norwegian girls, Margarita KURSITE.

Wearing a dress where the top half was red and the bottom half black. And black tights.

She seemed very exhausted afterwards. Throughout the highlights, all you could hear was her breathing very heavily.

She goes into 8th position.

I don't think she's sure if that is good or not.

CaroLiza_fan

Martina LUCCHI (ITA). That name brings back memories of 250cc Grand Prix rider Marcellino Lucchi. I wonder if she is related to him. Given his age and her age, he could be her grandfather!

Wearing a beautiful pale blue dress. And skating to beautiful music from "East Of Eden".

And a beautiful skate too!

She goes into 9th position.

She seems disappointed with that.

CaroLiza_fan

Varvara PODER (EST) was "Living La Vida Loca"!!!

Talk about a contrast in tempo!

Wearing an orange and black dress.

That programme was a bundle of fun! And she was absolutely loving it!

Ha. During her programme we were listening to one Spanish singer (Ricky Martin), and during the highlights we were listening to a Spanish group (Las Ketchup)!

Ah, as well as 2 coaches, she has a couple of girls with her.

She goes into 11th position.
