(I haven't watched the final group of the SP yet, but I'll watch them later on during the hour between the predictions deadline and the start of the Senior Ladies SP).

Glafira USPENSKA (LAT) kicking things off with a fall.

She is wearing a dress that is mainly see-through black with embroidered black patterns in strategic places, but the skirt part is solid red.

You gessed it! It's an Olè programme.

Hey, you're too young to be doing that sultry stuff!

She's clearly disappointed.

Daniela SMORODINA (EST) wearing a dress in various shardes of light blue.

I love the music. It started off sounding like traditional music (Korean?), but then the suspense built up in the middle, and it got pretty dramatic.

She had a fall late on in the first half. But the rest was good.

She goes into 2nd in both the FS and overall.

She was disappointed when she heard the scores.

Linnea HENRIKSEN (NOR) wearing a light grey and white dress.

I know this music. It's from a film. Ach, what is it?!

She had a wobble coming out of the second part of a combination jump, but otherwise she was good.

I wouldn't be surprised if she starts a climb up the order.

Again, like yesterday, she's clearly exhausted. Breathing heavily.

Oooh, that's a fancy heart arm thingy she and her coach are doing. I like that version.

New leader in both FS and overall.

Arina KARSAKOVA (EST) wearing a dress that is mainly black, but has a yelow left sleeve, a gold pattern in the left side, and a blue bit of material hanging from her right hip.

Dramatic music. (I would say "spy music", but you saw where that got me earlier when it turned out to be Willy Wonka!)

I really enjoyed that!

I might have been premature when I said that the previous skater would be starting a climb.

No. I was completely off the mark with Arina.

She goes into 4th and last position in both FS and overall.

Melani IVANOV (EST) is on a Quest to get her own name on her SP video! But it may be an Impossible Dream.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

She was wearing a pale blue dress.

That was a mixed bag. She did a sequence of jumps, and the first two parts were under-rotated, and then she fell on the final part.

The rest was beautiful.

She goes into 3rd position in the FS, and 2nd position overall.

When Albina APAKOVA (LAT) came out and I saw her dress, I said "Olè"!

But, when the music started I said "James Bond".

And when the vocals came in, it was... "Cruella De Vil"

She had a fall, but was otherwise good.

She goes into 3rd position overall.

I'm nervous. Because I don't want to see this little girl crying yet again.

She is wearing a dark grey dress with a red petticoat.

Classical music. And it sounds very big for such a little girl.

But, she lived up to it!!! That was a great skate!!! Nearly all green!!!

Well, she did have one red box, which was because she had a fall.

She goes into the lead of both FS and overall!!!

She's not smiling either, but that's beside the point.

Marharyta CHACHYK (AUT) wearing an orange dress.

Middle Eastern music. I wasn't expecting that. (Didn't really know what to expect!)

Fall just after an extra layer of music kicked in.

About thalf-way through, the music started sounding very bluesy, but still with a Middle Eastern feel.

Very strange fall just after the music changed to being more industrial for the final part of the programme.

I know it sounds strange asking this, but I wonder if the changes in music were distracting her.

We can hear her and her coach talking. Marharyta has a nice voice.

She is smiling continuously. Until the scores come in, and her face drops.

She goes into 8th and last position in both FS and overall.

needed for watching Alina SHAVELA (EST). A bright yellow dress.

Skating to Coldplay's "Paradise". But, I don't think it is them. I don't even think it is in English!

Not a great skate. A fall, couple of pops, etc.

I only noticed during the replays that she has her left leg braced. So that might explain a lot.

She looks disappointed and angry with herself. But, if she's injured, she shouldn't be blaming herself.

She goes into 8th in the FS, and 6th overall.

Another little Estonian girl. Skater #10 is wearing a dress that is mainly black, but most of the skirt part is white.

Skating to "Experience" by Ludovico Einaudi.

A fall in the first half, and another in the second half.

For a moment there I got worried. I thought she was starting to cry when she got a hankie out. But, no, she just wanted to blow her nose.

She goes into 3rd in the FS, and 2nd overall.

This is one of the skaters whose SP I haven't seen yet.

The "Montagues And Capulets" have arrived with Mia PANTJUHHINA (EST)

She is wearing a black dress with orange trim.

I always love this music.

Not the best of skates.

But, it could have been worse. There was one point I thought she was stopping and pulling out, but she was actually just lining up a jump.

She may be out of breath, but she has a lot to say to her coach!

She goes into 5th in the FS, and 4th overall.

The second of the Italians to skate, Tatiana PEDRAZZOLI, is doing an Olè programme

The dress is nearly all black. But, the bust area is red roxes. Her petticoat is red.

There is quite a bit of red in the TES box, though. But, I didn't think it looked that bad.

She goes into 8th in the FS, and 5th overall.

Oh dear. Lots of mistakes. Including a freak fall coming out of a Biellmann Spin.

Well, she doesn't seem upset, anyway. Taking it on her chin.

She goes into 5th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

Earlier on today, I didn't think I would be saying this.

You know that little girl that was in floods of tears yesterday. Who skated just before the first resurfacing today.

Well, a full group later, she is still leading both the FS and overall!!!



And I could not be happier. Having seen her in tears a few times over the past few years, she deserves things to go her way!

Elisabeth LEETNA (EST) is another skater I whose SP I haven't seen yet, but I saw it at the Volvo Open Cup.

French songs for both programmes. It was "Voilà" for the SP. Not sure what the song is here, but I do recognise the voice.

She is wearing a black dress, with see-through areas here and there.

Oh no. She's crying!



The irony is, the girl that I am used to seeing crying is her team-mate!

And, you guessed it, the coach isn't consoling Elisabeth either.

She goes into 10th in the FS, and 7th overall.
