2025-26 Retirements, Splits and New Partnerships

Kelly Ann is skating singles right now
Sounds like she would change to discipline.

I wonder if Cristina Lyons has found a partner? I seen a story of her Instagram days ago and appeared she was training with a partner throw jumps but don't know if that video of her story was latest or older with her ex partner Marty.

When I seen them on Canadian nationals in 2025 , it seem me very interesting their FS and I liked it.

She won't really. I don't think she ever had lutz and flip and triple triple... There are 30 senior women competing just in Québec's summer event. If she places top then, that will be awesome. She wouldn't qualify for challenge.

Lyons is good. It's too bad that she and Kelly Ann (and Deanna), three strong women for Canada, cannot find a partner.

Have to admit, when I first saw your post after signing in, my initial thought was: "Gaaah!!! You don't say which Flores sister! Is it the one that I am currently looking after?! Has Linus had yet another short-lived partnership?!"

It took me until I came back in here after writing about Artur Dmitriev to notice that you had included the word "pair" in your post. And hence, realise that it wasn't the sister that I am looking after, because Linus competes in Ice Dance. :drama: :slink:

So, it is Olivia that that is now skating with Mark.

Olivia Flores revealed to be skating pairs with Mark Sadusky is most certainly not a surprise. We have seen them training together quite often these past weeks. I guess they simply wanted to take their time to be certain of making a full comittment rather than rushing into a quick announcement. They already know each other well, having trained in Colorado, most recently in the same group, under the same coaches. Albeit that Mark used to train at nearby Monument Ice rink (where he likely continues to coach part-time). But he's been at WASA off-and-on through the years.

All though it´s not totally unexpected given how her recent seasons has been, it feels like she is one of the great junior talents I had hopes for that got lost. Remember back, I thought we would see her her at Euros, Worlds, Olympics for Hungary. Retiring at 18 and not even making it to Euros just doesn´t seem right with the talent she had already at age 13. As many others, I´m not very happy with how the Hungarian Fed wasted her talent.

All though that said, I was looking at her Instagram and it comforts me that despite her challenges, she still seems to be that smiling and positive person I always thought of her as, even glowing more then before. I´m sure she will have great success with whatever her next chapter is. Best of luck to Vivien - you will be missed! :thank:

I remember seeing her live at JGP in Ostrava with her family sitting right behind me - she was a sunshine on ice, so expressive, very captivating. And her family was cheering for her so laudly, they looked like having a great fun as well. It's a very joyfull memory.
