2026-27 Russian Women's Figure Skating

Wow didn't expect to hear this, I have loved following Adeliia, sad we won't see more of her, unless she is just taking a break. According to reports she has joined a ballet company/training?

It seems she has been accepted to a prestigious school of ballet & her injuries have accumulated (hip injury). Surprised?

Adeliia leaves Team Tutberidze

Shocking!!!! I expected her to go on a break for a year or two and even undergo surgical treatment if needed during that period (especially after the ankle, groin and back injury she sustained all last season). But I didn’t think she’d leave teamtut after enduring with them for so long.

I wish her the best whether she continues with another coaching staff or if she chooses to retire.

She has been nursing injury and plans to focus on her 2nd year university in Gitis institute. She doesn't plan to retire as according to Russian media. Seems like she needs more time to deal with with injury

As of now she doesn't have any new programs so it's evident she is taking his season off

I've just started the junior test skates thread

Oh it is not 28-31 July anymore?

But I didn’t think she’d leave teamtut after enduring with them for so long.

Everyone has a breaking point. Her coaching team completely messed up her preparation for the Olympics, put her under even more pressure that she already was, exacerbated her injuries, failed to get her ready nor mentally nor technically, failed to support her at the most crucial of times, and topped it all up afterwards by publicly blaming her for the failure 😶 After all this, I think it's rather to be expected that she felt that all she had endured was for nothing at all in the end, and that enough is enough.

Whether she continues her career or not (and I hope she does), at this point, really, she has nothing to lose and all to win by leaving, at the very least from a physical and mental health point of view. I wish her well.

So far, they have added only a few skaters and mostly women.
I read in Facebook:

Yana Rudkovskaya on Elena Kostylyeva's neutral status:
"We currently have no information about Elena Kostylyeva being granted a neutral status. But the statement has been submitted, we are waiting for a decision."

Seriously no reason to deny a 14 years old very talented girl who has nothing to do with Politics which is even beyond her control.
