Well, I missed the entire Grand Prix series this year, except for Skate America since it was televised here in the US. I'd like to try to catch up on the season, if possible. What were the best performances of the year? Can I still find videos on you tube?

Well, here is one, Ashley Wagner breakthrough in China:

I can't find Chan's FP at SC - it's controversial - an error-laden win - but the quality of the skating is breathtaking; also gorgeous music and choreo - it made me a Chan fan.

And you have to see Joubert's SP at COR. No disputes about that one - it's just fabulous, esp. coming so soon after a disastrous performance at TEB.

And Miki lands her quad at the GPF, but doesn't get credit for it. Note that she changed her FP mid-season because her Giselle program didn't work out well, esp. in comparison with Nakano's.

Mukhortova/Trankov's SP...I think it was best at SA, but TEB was almost as good

i think that Joannie Rochette's LP at either TEB or SC was very good.

I'd call Mao's "Masquerade Waltz" at NHK trophy the best performance of the season so far.

Same with me. It was stunning!! I liked it at the GPF too, though. Too bad about the fall in the combination jump, but I still think it was right that she won.
