I hope these youngsters will be carefully molded and prepared for the next Olympics (amongst other things). We never know, they could be top contenders in the next four years. Dunno though how much KSU has been preparing the figure skaters for 2018.
um.. zero.. they're too busy politicking w/ speedy about their beloved speed skating and short track..
yes to the whole thing but no about them not paying attention to korean fs.....(the latter can be argued later)
KSU did bring some foreign skating coaches/specialists/technicians to korea to help out some of the PC hopefuls for two weeks. I say good job to them since you can see some improvements from skaters such as Jun and Eun Soo Lim (the vibrant girl who's skating to pink panther). However, there's a lot of stuff that still needs to be worked on. There are no news whether KSU will continue to make these sessions more frequent or have a longer duration. (ex. instead of weeks, maybe a month?) hwell:
I agree. Obviously they're not doing the greatest job, but it'd be incorrect to say they weren't paying any attention. I think Korea really needs good facilities/rinks to start.
Are all these skaters training at Taereung (sorry, I don't know if I spell that correctly). I guess another option would be is to train internationally, like Yuna moving to Canada. That seemed to have exposed Yuna to a different and perhaps more effective training style at that time... I really do hope they focus more in the figure skating. It's one of the most popular sporting event during winter olympics...

Jun Hwan Cha Sp He is very talented!!! Shoulders a little bit high and tense, but he has very good basics and is very expressive to the music. I am really looking forward to his progress the most
Certainly there are a lot of skaters I forgot to mention. Please feel free to complete the list.
I almost thought he was going to pull a young Plushenko and do a Biellmann at the end, that was a gorgeous hair cutter position! Very expressive skater, this is the first time Novice-level skating has given me goosebumps.
Also, does anyone know who this girl is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_DCywzngsQ She looks really small but really nails her triples, haha.
Found some info on her from Korean skating blogs. She's Ye Rim Kim, born in January 2003. She does indeed have some impressive jumping ability.
http://blog.daum.net/sadprince57/2712 apparently she tried a 3f-3lo in her short

Holy moly, 2003.... insane. But, what level is she? Novice? Cause 101 for LP is pretty impressive for that level.
Yes, that loop is URed.
I'm actually concerned for her on how she might deal with puberty. She is like Satoko for me at the moment.
Did Satoko's jumps used to look high or something? Cause this girl definitely jumps higher than Satoko, despite the fast rotation, and it looks like she will grow to have a Yuna-esque physique (though not guaranteed of course).
Woah, some inteeeeresting news
Hwi Choi is actually a pairs skater now! She is currently training with Ingo Steuer's team in Florida. Her partner is Luis Manella. Also , Jung Yoo Jin (don't really know much about her past) is also a new pairs skater as well. She is paired up with Luca di Marte.
