FYIs re Senior Ladies:

- Elena Pulkinen has qualified for Nats in at least one previous season.
Now attends UCLA. Fourth at 2016 U.S. Collegiates; fifth at 2017 Collegiates.
She is the older sister of Camden Pulkinen, who qualified for the JGPF this season (and who followed Elena into skating).

- Vanna Giang was the U.S. lady sent to the Youth Olympic Games in 2016.

I was surprised not to see Liza Kulik listed, is she still competing?

She made US Nationals 2017 in Juniors, but she was not at the Glacier Falls summer competition, nor was she on nor an alternate on the JGP. I have not heard whether she is injured, or whether she has retired.

My understanding is that she recently has been back on the ice

Promotion for "Ice" (the movie) has included cast member Elise (among others). I believe the premiere is supposed to be before the Olympics :popcorn:

, so perhaps in the not-too-distant future, we will hear something from Elise in that context?

Thanks again ice coverage. I’ve loved her skating since I discovered her last season when randomly checking out regionals and sectionals videos uploaded on YT by the skaters themselves or their parents, so good to know she’s coming back to competitions.

Didn’t know anything about Ice that you mentioned, I guess I probably will never get to see it but whatever the reason she’s in it, good for her.
