Looks like ISU will be providing live stream for all senior events.

There wil be geoblocking though, I assume everywhere that broadcasters have bought the rights...

Here is the start of my Eurosport TV schedule for the Grand Prix Final.

Given that one of the snooker Majors (the UK Championship) is also on this week, I was actually surprised that there is so much LIVE coverage of the GP Final. :cheer:

Then I started doing the continental versions, and saw that the coverage on ESP Deutschland’s linear channels is woeful! :disapp:

Just be aware – the Ladies Free will be finished by the time the schedule says the LIVE coverage is starting on the Player! I suspect it’s a typing error that will be fixed between now and then.

My Mum had to do something on the computer, so I didn’t get as much done this morning as usual. But, from what I have done so far, it seems straightforward enough.

More will be added over the next few days.

Yeah, that's the problem with the GP Final being in Japan, and the Juniors being held earlier in the day than the Seniors. Eurosport never show anything LIVE on the linear channels in what is the middle of the night in Europe unless they have people on site. And they don't do that for figure skating any more, unfortunately.

Nah. The Player only ever shows the LIVE World Feed coverage (so no commentary). Unless their own coverage (i.e. with commentary) has been bumped off the linear channels by something else (as is happening in Germany this week), in which case it is also put onto the Player.

And the only things happening after the Senior Ladies are finished their FS on Saturday are the podium ceremonies for the 5 competitions that finshed that day (Senior Ladies, Junior Dance, Junior Ladies, Senior Pairs, and Senior Dance). So, I doubt that the Player would show recorded stuff at this time.

It's a mistake somebody made typing in the numbers. The stream will come on air in time for the Ladies FS.

At least, it had better!

Wow! I didn't realise they were actually in Helsinki. I just assumed that they were in London, because it just sounded the same as when they are in the studio.

What is it they say about assuming...?

It is so good to hear that they do still get the opportunity to enjoy the whole experience of a competition sometimes. Because I thought that had stopped a few years ago when the amount of coverage got less.

I know some commentators covering other sports on Eurosport pretend to be on site when it is obvious that they're not. Such as commentators who are covering two different things on the same day, but still try to lead us to believe that they are at both. Like, come on! We're not stupid!

So, it is easy to become cynical and automatically think others are doing the same.

Of course, I wouldn't for one second lump our guys in with these bluffers. Our guys are too honest for that (as we can tell from what they say in their commentary).

I just genuinely thought they were always in a studio nowadays. I am sorry for my mistake.

Eurosport.de/tvschedule does have skating on Friday evening/Saturday morning - is the player different? However looks like only one chance everywhere no elongated highlights/replays, so just one shot if wish to watch/record off the telly. Same with their highlights during the week, is on once on UK, but couldn't see anything on .com.

According to the Player listings, Eurosport Deutschland are not showing any highlights on Friday on the linear channels, and all of the LIVE coverage on Saturday that is on the linear channels in other countries is being bumped onto the Player. And in both cases it is because they are showing football instead.

It'll be interesting to see which set of listings are right. For future reference.

Anyway, I'm supposed to be doing more country schedules, so I'll leave it there for now.

if i remember correctly they showed junior finals on ISU channel last year (seniors too but their's were goeblocked) :think: hopefully our saviour youtube user will have YT stream :luv17:
