Favorite:
MK's Lyra Anjelica fr 98 Nationals (not Skate America). Simple & elegant.

Worst:
Weiss's where you could see his white undies because the seam at torn. Sorry, can't remember which competition.

...and which came first, Oksana's 1996 Olympic "Dead Swan" costume or Bjork's "Dead Flamingo" costume? The bear such an uncanny and frightening resemblance to each other.

Oh, my RealtorGal, that was so bad it was good!

The Denise Beillman black and white looks like a pair of eyes with a big tongue hanging down (ick) and Oksana's pink thing was best described by the intrepid Toller Cranston as "an electrified poodle."

I may get lots of flack for this, but I won't change my opinion: I hated Michelle's blue '98 Olympics long program dress. It looked like beachwear. Bleah. But then, I didn't like Tara's white "yodeling" dress from around the same year; short program, I think, either.

Karen Magnussen had a wonderful, simple blue costume with a bit of white trim that I thought was a classic.

I do have to agree that Kurts Casablanca is one of the best. A throw back to the golden days of figure skating. Wonderfully classic.

I have to add Michelles East of Eden from Worlds as a worst.

when i saw this thread, that is exactly what i was thinking of for worst. also, plushy's over-golded disaster from 2000-01 and ivan divev's tropical/leather thing from last year.

i thought abt's "jellyfish" costume suited him, at least more so than other outfits he's tried in the past. i think what you sad is funny tho.

most beautiful - G&G Olympic LP from 1994. Kerrigan's LP, also from 1994 Olympics (really looked stunning on her).

Yes, there are certain skaters who seem to consistently come up with some pretty awful stuff, and other skaters who pretty much always have nice costumes. At least they're consistent.
