I've already been posting about this in Aleksandra Golovkina's Fan Fest, but since we now have a thread for Nationals, it should be added here too.

It looks like the Lithuanian Fed is again basing their decisions about the allocation of the Senior Ladies slots at the Majors over a series of competitions where the 3 girls go head-to-head. But the difference this year is that rather than doing it two at a time, all three of them are being sent to each event.

The first event was the Warsaw Cup, the second was the Golden Spin Of Zagreb last week, and now Nationals is the third event.

Although Meda is out in front, there is not much separating Jogailė and Aleksandra. All three of them have the minimums for Europeans and the Olympics, but Meda is still the only one that has the Minimums for Senior Worlds. That said, Jogailė is 2.08 points away from getting them whereas Aleksandra is 12.69 points away from getting them.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens this week.

Guys do you know if there is a stream anywhere for this? Even may be a paid one? Couldn't find anything even if my life depended on it 😒

I found a stream purporting to be for the Lithuanian Championships on this YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/@skatehub_tv

There isn't anything else on the channel, which made me have doubts. However, the channel was started 3 years ago, so I think it might be genuine.

I guess we'll find out for sure at quarter past two (our time).

Yeah, and it doesn't immediately ask for subscription/money so there is hope... but we shall see indeed

Looks like the link is legit 😀 they now published the same link in sportity, so thanks very much for sharing it 2 hours earlier☺️

You're welcome. Happy to have been of help.

I've been watching the Spanish Championships the past few days, but they have practices in the afternoon. So the Lithuanian girls will fill in the gap nicely. Sorry to the Lithuanian boys, but I'll be switching back to Spain after the girls are finished, as I have a vested interest in the Ice Dance there.

By the way, I was surprised to see Simon Briggs with one of the skaters in Spain earlier. I thought Aleksandra was the only overseas skater they had at the Dundee club.

I take it this means that David Richardson will be in Kaunas with Aleksandra.

Oh, I hope she does well this weekend.

Eloisa Sola trains in Dundee, but switched to represent Spain recently, so I guess it's Simon's last Hurray with Eloisa. David must be with Aleks in Kaunas now, yeah

The Lithuanian Championships start now with a Ladies SP triple-bill, followed by a Men's SP double-bill.

16 Advanced Novice girls, followed by 8 Junior girls, followed by 3 Senior girls.

Livestream for the Advanced Novice Ladies SP competitions is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

All the other information you may need can be found in the OP of this thread.

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

Thank you. That explains it.

Can't blame Simon really for taking the opportunity to have a trip to Spain! Beats the British weather! ;)

Leja BRUZAITE (Startas) was wearing a deep purple dress.

I recognise the song, but couldn't make out enough words to do a successful lyrics search to find out what it was.

A good skate to start off the event.

The positioning of the camera at the results area isn't great. We've got a close up of a tree for most of the picture, with the skater and coach in the background at the edge of the picture!

CaroLiza_fan

Kamile SALIUTE (Startas) was wearing a pink dress that was dark at the top, and got lighter as you went down.

A French song for her.

She was good.

She goes into the lead.

CaroLiza_fan

Elze PAKALNISKYTE (Startas) was wearing a black jumpsuit with sparkly purple pattern

She was skating to "Runaway" by Aurora.

She had a very strange incident where she landed a jump, but fell when she was turning to head away.

She goes into 3rd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Kotryna KUBILIUTE (Elektrenu) was wearing a black dress with red trim.

She was skating to a very strange song. I normally prefer music without vocals, but in this case, I preferred it before it became an instrumental.

Fall on her first element.

She certainly lived up to the drama of the song.

She's upset waiting for her scores.

She goes into 4th position.

Laura RUTKAUSKAITE (Sidabrine Paciuza) was wearing a beautiful light blue dress, and skating to a beautiful piece played on the piano.

And just to complete the set, the skating was beautiful too.

She looked happy when she finished.

She goes into 3rd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Elija JUZIKYTE (Amber LTU) was wearing a red dress with white and black pattern. And skating to "Lose Control" by Teddy Swims.

And another good skate.

Awwww. Double wave to the camera while waiting for her scores.

She does seem happy.

Oops. Forgot her skate guards. Coach had to go get them.

She goes into 2nd position.

CaroLiza_fan

OK. Ameliya SOLDATOVA (CIOUZIU.LT) starting at the boards right up against the camera.

I have actually seen this programme before. It's a Cruella de Vil programme. Although you wouldn't guess it from what she is wearing - a black jumpsuit with silver pattern.

I absolutely love this programme!!!

I'm saying it now - new leader.

She can't believe the score!

She goes into the lead by 6.70 points. Which is massive in Advanced Novices!

CaroLiza_fan

Sofija LICHOVIDOVA (Speigas) is wearing a light blue dress with a darker blue pattern.

She is skating to instrumental music, which is giving me a Chinese feel.

I really enjoyed that.

She goes into 2nd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Ah, the Group 2 skaters are on the ice, and we have a withdrawal.

#10 Elija DRAVNEL (Sidabrine Paciuza)

CaroLiza_fan

This programme from Gabija GRIGAITE (Startas) is another that I remember seeing already this season.

She is wearing a dress where the top half is black and the bottom half is red. And skating to Michael Bublé's cover of "Cry Me A River".

Fell on the first element. But otherwise, she was good.

The tree is annoying her, digging into her back!

She goes into 2nd position.
