17th Europa Cup Skate Helena | Jan 4-6

The 17th Europa Cup Skate Helena will take place Jan 4-6, 2024, in Belgrade, Serbia. The event will feature the Singles (Women and Men) in the Novice, Junior and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating, and relevant ISU Communications.

• Daniel RUIS (AUT), Ali Efe GUNES (TUR), Yoanis APOSTOLU (BUL) and Mark KULISH (UKR) in Junior Men
• Olivia LENGYELOVA (SVK), Sabina ALIEVA (AZE), and my kids Chiara HRISTOVA (BUL) and Stefania YAKOVLEVA (CYP) in Junior Ladies

I really hope that Stefania does actually compete and that this isn't the latest in a long line of withdrawals for the Cypriot team recently. She really needs more competitive action under her belt before heading to Korea. That is assuming that the Fed still plans to compete in the Youth Olympics...

The event schedule won't be finalised until after the draw on Tuesday night, which doesn't leave a lot of time to get everything organised as the competitions start early on Wednesday morning.

Speaking of Euros, reading the entries here i´m wondering why on earth Gracheva is not going to Euros this year? She has the mins. Is it money issues from the Fed?

She's still there in the Entries / Results page today.

But, it wouldn't be the first time somebody has attempted doing another event immediately before Euros. Don't forget 2015, when Golovkina, Galustyan and Kučvaļska did the EYOF in Austria and the European Championships in Sweden in a single week, with the FS of the EYOF and the SP of Euros on consecutive days!
