I also love Nishino's skating. This is a really good result for her, however, as without 3-3 and only one flip (shaky, because she's trying to fix her lip) she couldn't have achieved much higher score. I'm happy that in spite of much lower TES her SS and TR scores are even higher than Rachael's.

With a bit more polish, fixed lip and stable 3-3 (her coach said she landed it in practices already) she should be a gold medal contender next year. Her goal is to make the Vancouver Olympic Team, and I wish her good luck .

I'm glad to see that her SS score is higher too. She has very nice basic skating.

Well, congrats to all the podium ladies. Looks like Rachael and Mirai had nice, solid performances, and what a great GPF debut for Yuki.

It looks like 3-3 is rapidly becoming a necessary weapon - if it weren't for her much higher PCS, Mirai could have lost the gold.

Wow Rachael almost won. I had inticipated her being in 2nd but not that close to winning. Good for her though I hope she does great in Nationals.:agree: It should be one exciting competition. Just like the National competition for the Japanese ladies. I cant wait for both competitions!!

Yea for Mirai!!! I just adore her I hope she adds some points to her LP though for Nationals. I am quite pleased for the points in her SP though.

Great job for Yuki & Kristine also So many PBs in this competition for the ladies, Way to go!!

Just as I expected, Mirai won!!

Mirai is my favorite out of talented US junior ladies, and I'm so glad for her!!

Looks like Mirai's and Yuki's scores could have been even higher if two of their triples weren't downgraded. I think they are both doing some growing up this season.
Good CoP thinking on Yuki's part - when she couldn't add 3rd jump to her salchow combo, she added it to her 3T combo instead. And wow, she got a nice score for her spiral.

I hope there will be some videos available later.
