Solid skate, but he needs to work on his jump landings - right now many of them aren't too pretty.

Very strong program jumpwise - it will be hard for Farris to beat.
Nice to see a promising Russian man. He's got good height on the jumps. Needs more polish, but he's still junior so it's understandable

Kovtun's content is impressive! 4T-3T, 3A-3T and a solo 3A later in the program. Everything else landed but he has to work on the presentation and the program is a bit strange IMO

Not his best. He will drop - question is how far?

Farris is such a lovely skater but he fell apart after that horrible fall on the quad:cry:

Yep, no contest here. Maxim's jumping prowess clearly made the best FS program today. I love it when Tarasova is happy. Farris unfortunately went splat all over the place and made lots of small mistakes on the jumps, which is a shame because he's been able to nail that program at prior comps. I hope he wasn't injured.

Maybe Farris struggling here means finally he will skate well at Nationals. No need to be peaking right now. Jason on the other hand still needs to work on his 3axel. He stalks it like Rippon does. Otherwise he's superior in most other elements compared to someone like Kovtun for instance.
