Strong clean skate! Should take the lead for now, easily.

Loved Rika's steps, full of content but kept the speed which was key. I like her, she has big jumps but has some polish to do

3F - tilted, fall. Looked rotated on replay
LSp
StSq

Siraj's jumps are terrible. I can't believe she was sent to this event while Angela Wang and Hannah Miller stayed home.

Warm-Up Group 6
28 Yasmin SIRAJ USA
29 Alaine CHARTRAND CAN
30 Reyna HAMUI MEX
31 Laurine LECAVELIER FRA
32 Gabrielle DALEMAN CAN
33 Anna POGORILAYA RUS

Go Yasmin and Gabrielle!

Rika was rock solid. I'd rather believe in her lead future than in someone else's in Baby Team Japan. She is pushy, confident, charismatic and skate big. Very different from all that rotten ice princess image. It's something that you need to beat Russian babies with their "Stay back!" stuff.

The R-dude said 14 girls planned 3-3 combo, 6 of them 3Lu-3T: all three Russians, one Japanese, one American and one Canadian

Alaine CHARTRAND will give Osmond some competition by next season. Such a shame about the 2A, but she went for the harder stuff. She is a lovely, lovely skater, Canada's future look bright right now

Alaine CHARTRAND (CAN)

Music: First Dance by Edvin Marton

3Lz+3T - turn-out, but good height. Rotation looks ok, but maybe < on 3T
3F - also nice height
CCoSp
2A - fall, one-foot entry
FCSp
StSq
LSp

She gets good height on the jumps, shame about the 2A.

SP: 27.93 + 21.21 - 1.00 = 48.14 (PB)
in 2nd (out of 29)

True that, nice strong jumps, but the bent knees...and lack of extension...ouch. Also: for all of the girls, if you have the leg flexibility to do an elusion by all means do it...but oy vey, with most of the girls it looks sloppy.

Reyna HAMUI (MEX)

Music: Carol Ann by Michael W. Smith

3Lo - fall, no combo
2F - 'Rippon
FCSp - weak donut
2A
CCoSp
StSq
LSp

Big mistake on combo and low diff on the flip, so TES is going to suffer

SP: 19.63 + 17.52 - 1.00 = 36.15

I agree. Jasmin had one good competition all year and she gets to go to Jr Worlds while Wang medaled at both her GP events and went to the JGP final. Wang has way more potential too especially if she stops hurting herself in the SP.

Also agree. Should have been Wang here...
